  • Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Scores beauty in Game 4

Slavin notched a goal on two shots, two takeaways, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-2 win over New Jersey in Game 4.

Slavin gave the Canes a 2-0 lead at 9:47 of the opening frame. His goal was highlight-reel worthy -- Slavin batted down a Stefan Noesen clearing attempt inside the blue line, swept the puck past the New Jersey forward, drove down the left wing wall and ripped one past Jacob Markstrom from a difficult angle. The 30-year-old Slavin has provided one goal, one assist, seven shots on net, seven blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over four playoff contests. The all-world defenseman's 24:12 of ice time per game is 1:41 more than any other Carolina blueliner in this first-round series, which highlights how important he is to the team's success.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Contributes two power-play assists

Hutson logged two power-play assists, three shots on goal and a minus-3 rating in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals in Game 4.

Hutson's playmaking has remained dynamic in the postseason. He's picked up five helpers, including three on the power play, over four playoff contests. The blueliner has added a minus-3 rating with three shots on net, one hit and one blocked shot while playing in his usual top-four role.

  • Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Garners helper in win

Chychrun notched an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens in Game 4.

Chychrun has a goal and an assist over the last two games after going six contests without a point. The defenseman continues to handle a large role on the Capitals' top pairing and is also seeing a strong share of power-play time this postseason. He's at two points, eight shots on net, five hits, 13 blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-5 rating over four playoff outings.

  • Capitals' Trevor van Riemsdyk: Supplies two helpers

Van Riemsdyk recorded two assists in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens in Game 4.

Van Riemsdyk snapped a 12-game point drought, which spanned all of April up to Sunday. He got back on the scoresheet by helping out on third-period tallies from Brandon Duhaime and Andrew Mangiapane, which flipped a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 lead. In the regular season, van Riemsdyk had 21 points, 80 shots on net, 151 blocked shots and a plus-20 rating over 82 appearances in a bottom-four role.

  • Brent Burns D | CAR

Hurricanes' Brent Burns: Pair of points Sunday

Burns managed a goal on two shots, an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-1 rating Sunday in a 5-2 win over the Devils in Game 4.

Burns got on the scoresheet for the first time this postseason and was able to do so with a two-point performance, which snapped his five-game dry spell in the process. The veteran defenseman set up the first of Andrei Svechnikov's three goals early in the first period before giving Carolina a 4-2 lead at 14:14 of the third. Burns has accounted for five shots on goal, five blocked shots and a minus-1 rating while averaging 22:31 of ice time over four playoff outings. Burns and his squad will return home with a chance to eliminate the Devils in Game 5 on Tuesday.

  • Canadiens' Alexandre Carrier: Injured in Game 4 loss

Carrier sustained an undisclosed injury in the third period and did not return to Sunday's 5-2 to loss to the Capitals in Game 4, and there was no update on his status after the contest, Stu Cowan of The Montreal Gazette reports.

Carrier was injured twice in this showdown -- he went to the locker room in the first period but was able to return, though the right-shot blueliner was forced out of the game for good after being flattened by Tom Wilson in the final frame. Carrier will presumably be fully evaluated Monday, and he should be considered day-to-day ahead of Game 5 on Wednesday. If the 25-year-old is unable to suit up in a matchup that could end Montreal's season, Jayden Struble will draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch in Game 3.

  • Jets' Dylan Samberg: Pockets assist Sunday

Samberg logged an assist in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Blues in Game 4.

Samberg ended a five-game point drought with the helper. He has just two assists over his last 14 games dating back to March 28. The defenseman produced a career-best 20 points with 95 shots on net, 120 blocked shots, 56 hits and a plus-34 rating in 60 regular-season outings. Samberg plays a shutdown role, which has led to him producing five shots on net, three blocked shots, four hits and an even plus-minus rating over four playoff contests.

  • Nick Leddy D | STL

Blues' Nick Leddy: Garners assist in win

Leddy logged an assist and two blocked shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Jets in Game 4.

This was Leddy's first point of the postseason. The 34-year-old defenseman has played on the third pairing, logging one shot on net, three hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating over four playoff outings. Leddy has been playing alongside Tyler Tucker (lower body) lately, but he might have to partner with Ryan Suter if Tucker is forced to miss time after suffering an injury late in this contest.

  • Cam Fowler D | STL

Blues' Cam Fowler: Produces helper Sunday

Fowler posted an assist and two blocked shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Jets in Game 4.

Fowler has been fantastic so far this postseason, earning a goal and seven assists over four contests. He helped out on Jake Neighbours' game-tying tally late in the first period. Fowler has added nine shots on net, six blocked shots, three hits and an even plus-minus rating in the postseason, and five of his eight points have come with the man advantage.

  • Tyler Tucker D | STL

Blues' Tyler Tucker: Suffers injury Sunday

Tucker (lower body) sustained an injury in Sunday's 5-1 win over Winnipeg in Game 4.

The Blues didn't provide an update on Tucker's status after the game, but the team expects to know more Monday. The 25-year-old defenseman had a goal, two shots on net, two blocked shots and two hits in 17:05 of ice time before exiting Sunday's game late in the third period. If Tucker is unavailable for Game 5 in Winnipeg on Wednesday, Ryan Suter or Matt Kessel could be in the lineup against the Jets.
