Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Questionable for Thursday
Hayes (hamstring) is questionable to play Thursday versus the Hornets, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
Hayes missed Tuesday's game with some soreness in his hamstring, but it looks like there's a chance he could get back out there for Thursday's game. Check back for another update on Hayes closer to Thursday's tip.

Lakers' Rui Hachimura: Capped at 18 minutes in return
Hachimura (calf) recorded seven points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and two rebounds in 18 minutes Tuesday in the Lakers' 141-116 win over the Hawks.
After recovering from a right calf strain, Hachimura took the floor for the first time since Dec. 28, but he operated with a significant minutes restriction and was deployed as a bench player for the first time all season. Jake LaRavia is likely to eventually move back to the second unit to clear a spot in the starting five for Hachimura, but the 27-year-old could need multiple games to get fully reconditioned before the Lakers opt to shake up the lineup.

Lakers' Jake LaRavia: Logs 17 points in decisive win
LaRavia closed with 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 141-116 victory over Atlanta.
Every Lakers starter logged a double-digit scoring total in the blowout, and LaRavia bounced back with a great total after only scoring two points during Monday's embarrassing loss to Sacramento. LaRavia received more opportunities with Rui Hachimura (calf) on a minute restriction. LaRavia's fantasy value will take a hit once Hachimura is back to full strength, and it's unknown how LaRavia's recent solid play will impact the rotation.

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Plays through injury for 27 points
Doncic (groin) chipped in 27 points (7-16 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 8-10 FT), five rebounds, 12 assists and one block in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 141-116 win over the Hawks.
Doncic logged 33 minutes despite a nagging groin injury and recorded his 14th double-double of the season during the blowout victory. Doncic drained five three-pointers in the matchup, marking his best performance beyond the arc in over two weeks. His 55.5-percent conversion rate from downtown was also one of his best percentages from long range this season.

Lakers' LeBron James: Flirts with triple-double
James notched 31 points (12-20 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 141-116 victory over the Hawks.
James came close to his first triple-double since last February, which coincidentally coincided with the acquisition of Luka Doncic that occurred later that evening. James also played both games of this week's back-to-back set, which is a rarity for the 23-year veteran this season. His 31-point effort matched his second-best scoring total of the season.

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Available to play
Doncic (groin) is good to go for Tuesday's game versus the Hawks, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
Doncic will push through the groin issue, but he may have his minutes monitored on the second leg of a back-to-back. Still, any time Doncic is active, he's a must-start option in fantasy leagues.

Lakers' LeBron James: Good to go Tuesday
James (foot/sciatica) is available for Tuesday's game against the Hawks, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
Although he's working through foot and back injuries, James has been cleared to play in the second leg of the Lakers' back-to-back set Tuesday. He played 33 minutes during Monday's loss to the Kings, finishing with 22 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 33 minutes.

Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Won't play Tuesday
Hayes will not play Tuesday against the Hawks due to left hamstring soreness.
Hayes does not have a strain, and it's possible the Lakers are exercising caution for the second leg of this back-to-back set. With Hayes out, Deandre Ayton could have a higher floor, and Jarred Vanderbilt could see more run for the Lakers.

Lakers' LeBron James: Questionable for Tuesday
James (injury management) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.
This is an expected update from the Lakers. Tuesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and with James managing soreness in his foot and back, he could be due for a maintenance day.

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Listed as questionable
Doncic (groin) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
Doncic has officially been diagnosed with left groin soreness, and it appears as though he's day-to-day. Following Monday's game against the Kings, Doncic said he was uncertain if he'd play the second leg of this back-to-back set. Presumably, he will warm up before a decision is made on his status.

Lakers' Kobe Bufkin: Lands 10-day deal with Lakers
Bufkin agreed to a 10-day contract with the Lakers on Tuesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Bufkin signed a 10-day deal with the Grizzlies earlier in the season, but he didn't appear in any games before the contract lapsed. He's otherwise spent the entire 2025-26 campaign in the G League, where he's impressed with averages of 25.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.9 three-pointers, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks in 32.5 minutes per contest over 14 appearances with the South Bay Lakers. The 22-year-old will bolster Los Angeles' depth in the backcourt but is unlikely to emerge as a regular factor in the rotation.

Lakers' Deandre Ayton: Double-doubles with two blocks
Ayton logged 13 points (4-7 FG, 5-8 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 27 minutes during Monday's 124-112 loss to the Kings.
Although Los Angeles was unable to win, Ayton bounced back from his quiet performance Friday against Milwaukee. Ayton's production has been rather inconsistent recently, and he is averaging 10.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.3 blocks across 28.5 minutes through six games in January.

Lakers' Marcus Smart: Struggles in loss
Smart notched one point (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 31 minutes during Monday's 124-112 loss to the Kings.
Despite some healthy workloads, Smart continues to struggle for the Lakers. Over his last seven outings, he's seeing 31.7 minutes per night with averages of 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 three-pointers on 33.3 percent shooting from the field.

Lakers' Jake LaRavia: Muted performance in loss
LaRavia accumulated two points (1-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Monday's 124-112 loss to the Kings.
LaRavia had been on a hot streak in recent weeks, so this dud shouldn't dissuade his fantasy managers. The Lakers will be getting Rui Hachimura (calf) back in action Tuesday, but it sounds like he will come off the bench with heavy restrictions. As long as LaRavia can bounce back quickly, his spot with the starters is relatively safe.

Lakers' LeBron James: Scores 22 points in loss
James contributed 22 points (8-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Monday's 124-112 loss to the Kings.
James missed all five of his three-pointers and wasn't able to right the ship for the Lakers, as the franchise lost its third straight game. Tuesday's game against Atlanta is the second night of a back-to-back set, and based on James' previous comments regarding back-to-backs, he's questionable to play depending on how he's feeling.

Lakers' Rui Hachimura: Will be under restriction Tuesday
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said that Hachimura (calf) will play Tuesday against the Hawks but will have a "severe minutes restriction," Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
After missing six straight games due to a right calf strain, Hachimura was cleared to play Monday against the Kings, but the Lakers ultimately decided to stay away from the veteran forward in the 124-112 loss so that he could be fresher for the second leg of the back-to-back set. Hachimura still won't be asked to reclaim his normal role coming off the injury, as the Lakers plan to use him off the bench and monitor his minutes Tuesday. Once he gets fully ramped up over the course of a few games, Hachimura is likely to eventually unseat Jake LaRavia on the top unit.

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Uncertain to play Tuesday
Doncic said after Monday's 124-112 loss to the Kings that he had his inner thigh/groin area treated in the second half of the contest and is unsure if he'll be able to play through the injury in Tuesday's game against the Hawks, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Despite being slowed by the injury during Monday's contest, Doncic still saw a normal allotment of playing time (37 minutes) and came through with a stellar line, finishing the night with 42 points (16-25 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals. While the thigh issue doesn't look to be anything significant, Doncic could still be a candidate to get a maintenance day in the second leg of a back-to-back set. If Doncic is held out Tuesday, the Lakers could redirect a good portion of his minutes to Rui Hachimura, who was active for Monday's contest but was seemingly available only in an emergency after missing the Lakers' previous six contests due to a calf injury.
