Clippers' P.J. Tucker: Not with team
The Clippers announced Sunday that Tucker will not be with the team moving forward, Joey Linn of SI.com reports.
The Clippers are expected to officially part ways with Tucker soon, potentially by finding a club to buy out his contract. The 39-year-old made 28 regular-season appearances (seven starts) for the Clippers last season, during which he averaged 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds across 15.0 minutes. While Tucker may not be able to contribute much on the floor at this point in his career, his veteran presence and playoff leadership could potentially make him a viable target for a contending team.

Clippers' Kai Jones: Plays 22 minutes vs. Golden State
Jones registered four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 22 minutes during Saturday's 91-90 preseason loss to the Warriors.
Jones and Kobe Brown were the only two players in Saturday's preseason opener to see over 20 minutes of playing time. Jones is competing for a backup role on the Clippers' regular-season roster behind starting center Ivica Zubac, and the former got an extended look Saturday due to Mo Bamba (knee) not playing. Jones didn't play in 2023-24 due to personal reasons and a hamstring strain late in the regular season. He played in 46 regular-season games in 2022 with the Hornets and averaged 3.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.7 blocks across 12.0 minutes per game.

Clippers' Kobe Brown: Near double-double in preseason
Brown finished Saturday's 91-90 preseason loss to the Warriors with 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist and two steals across 27 minutes.
Brown played a game-high 27 minutes off the bench Saturday, and he was one of four Clippers players to score in double digits. The 2023 first-round pick bounced back and forth between Los Angeles and the G League's Ontario Clippers during his rookie year, but Brown should see more playing time at the NBA level following Paul George's departure to Philadelphia during the offseason. Brown appeared in 44 regular-season games for the Clippers in his rookie season and averaged 2.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists across 9.0 minutes per game. In 18 outings in the G League, he averaged 19.2 points on 50.0 percent shooting, 6.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.1 steals over 32.1 minutes per game.

Clippers' James Harden: Dishes eight dimes vs. Warriors
Harden tallied 13 points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight assists, two rebounds and two steals across 17 minutes in Saturday's 91-90 preseason loss to the Warriors.
None of the Clippers' starters saw more than 20 minutes of playing time Saturday, but Harden managed to account for eight of Los Angeles' 21 assists and got to the line for a game-high eight free-throw attempts. Harden is expected to take on a larger role on offense following the departure of Paul George to Philadelphia, and the former could be the focal point if Kawhi Leonard (knee) were to miss the start of the regular season. While Leonard continues to be limited by right knee inflammation, it appears he is progressing in his recovery ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Frank mentioned the star forward will focus on strengthening and loading as he works back to full health. Regardless, Leonard should be expected to miss quite a few games this season for load management, especially during back-to-backs.
