Browns' Jedrick Wills: Practices Wednesday
Wills (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Despite Wills' return to practice Wednesday, he told Cabot that he won't be starting during Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Cowboys. It appears that Wills is still nursing last year's season-ending injury, which means either Jack Conklin or James Hudson (ankle) is expected to start at left tackle Sunday.

Browns' Jedrick Wills: Nearing return
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Wills (knee) is "getting close" to returning to the field, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Despite Stefanski's positive comments, the 25-year-old offensive tackle sat out Monday's practice. His status for Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Cowboys is still up in the air, and if Wills is unable to suit up, expect James Hudson (ankle) or Jack Conklin to protect Deshaun Watson's blindside.

Browns' Jedrick Wills: Activated off PUP list
Wills (knee) passed his physical Monday and has been activated off the active/PUP list, per the Browns' official site.
Wills landed on the PUP list in late July as a consequence of the knee surgery he underwent last December. Though he missed the entire preseason slate, Wills is in line to start at left tackle for Cleveland during the 2024 campaign.

Browns' Jedrick Wills: Won't return to practice this week
Wills (knee) has not been cleared to practice this week, and his return date is uncertain, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Wills had knee surgery last December and was placed on the active/PUP list in late July. He'll end up missing Cleveland's entire preseason slate, though he could still be ready to start by Week 1 of the regular season. The Browns have been hit hard by injuries to their tackle group, as Jack Conklin (knee), James Hudson (ankle), Hakeem Adeniji (knee) and Germain Ifedi (hand) are all currently hurt as well.

Browns' Jedrick Wills: Placed on PUP list
Wills (knee) was placed on the active/PUP list by the Browns on Wednesday.
Wills underwent knee surgery in December, and he'll be forced to open training camp on the sidelines as a result. The offensive lineman is geared up to be Cleveland's starting left tackle in 2024 and is eligible to return to practice and play at any point during the preseason.
