  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Set to miss more time

Barkov (upper body) will not play against Ottawa on Saturday but could return by the end of next week, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site. Coach Paul Maurice said Saturday that Barkov could return before Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) but put them on similar timelines. Barkov should be available for the beginning of the playoffs. He has 19 goals and 48 assists in 64 games this season. Due to Barkov's absence, Sam Bennett will take over as the first-line center.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Unlikely to play this weekend

Barkov (upper body) is doubtful to play this weekend, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports. Barkov is projected to miss the rest of the Panthers' road trip, which includes stops in Ottawa on Saturday and Detroit on Sunday. The 29-year-old's injury is not considered serious, but the Panthers are taking a cautious approach with one of their most important players. Anton Lundell should continue to see top-six minutes until Barkov is deemed healthy enough to play.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Sitting out Wednesday

Barkov (upper body) won't play Wednesday versus the Maple Leafs. Barkov was banged up in Tuesday's game against the Canadiens but was able to finish that contest. However, the Panthers look to be taking a cautious approach with the center since they'll likely be in the playoffs -- though Wednesday's game is important for seeding. Jonah Gadjovich is expected to enter the lineup while Anton Lundell figures to move into the top six to cover Barkov's absence.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Dishes two helpers Sunday

Barkov tallied two assists and dished out three hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens. Both of Barkov's apples were primary assists on goals scored by Sam Reinhart and Seth Jones. The 29-year-old Barkov is up to 48 assists, 67 points and 138 shots on net in 63 appearances this season. The Panthers' star center leads the team in assists and is tied for 21st in the league for helpers. As the regular season winds down, Barkov should contend for the 75-point mark for the fourth consecutive year while the Panthers look to reclaim the top spot in the Atlantic Division. He has excellent fantasy value for the remainder of the season.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Plays hero in shootout

Barkov dished a power-play assist and scored the game-winning tally in the shootout of Sunday's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh. Barkov's helper came on a second-period power play where he helped linemate Sam Reinhart find the back of the net. Barkov then opened the shootout by scoring a backhand tally, which would be all the Panthers needed to win the game. Overall, the 29-year-old center has 45 assists, 64 points and 135 shots on net in 61 outings this season. Barkov currently ranks 34th in points across the league and has 10 points in his last 10 games. While he's been steady offensively as of late, his fantasy value takes a hit for the time being as the Panthers won't take the ice again until Friday versus Utah. When he does take the ice, however, Barkov is a lineup lock in all fantasy formats thanks to his elite playmaking numbers.

Barkov recorded an empty-net goal and delivered two power-play assists in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Blue Jackets. • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Grabs two goals in win

Barkov scored both of Florida's goals and took four shots on net in Monday's 2-1 win over Tampa Bay. Barkov cashed in both of his goals in the second period. The first of his two tallies was unassisted and the second was on the power play. The 29-year-old center is up to 16 goals, 56 points and 115 shots in 52 appearances this season. While Barkov has been kept off the scoresheet in three of his five appearances since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, the two games he has contributed offensively were multi-point performances. He currently ranks 35th in the league in points despite missing a chunk of time near the start of the season. While Barkov's value in fantasy is impacted by the loss of Matthew Tkachuk (groin), it is encouraging to see Barkov continue to post points in the early stages of Tkachuk's absence. Barkov remains an excellent play in all fantasy formats.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Trio of assists in win

Barkov provided three assists and had two shots on goal in Sunday's 6-3 win against the Islanders. The 29-year-old center now has 35 assists, 47 points and 100 shots on net in just 44 games. He continues to produce above a point-per-game pace and is riding a three-game point streak. Barkov is on pace for similar production to last season's 80-point campaign while centering Florida's top line and power-play unit.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Collects helper in win

Barkov notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks. Barkov had gone three games without a point, and he's now 10 contests removed from his last goal with five helpers over that span. Barkov has generally played well with 39 points, 83 shots on net, 48 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 38 appearances this season.
