Rangers' Will Borgen: Inks five-year contract
Borgen signed a five-year, $20.5 million contract with the Rangers on Saturday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Borgen is playing out the final season of his two-year, $5.4 million deal. The 28-year-old has two goals, five points, 15 PIM, 78 hits and 66 blocks in 50 appearances between Seattle and the Rangers in 2024-25. New York acquired him from the Kraken on Dec. 18 as part of the return for sending Kaapo Kakko to Seattle. Borgen has averaged 18:35 of ice time across 17 outings since the trade.

Rangers' Lucas Edmonds: Dealt to Blueshirts
Edmonds was traded from Tampa Bay to the Rangers on Saturday in exchange for Ryder Korczak.
Edmonds, a third-round pick in 2022, has one goal and five points through 26 games in his third AHL season. The 23-year-old winger will likely report to AHL Hartford to provide the Rangers with organizational depth.

Rangers' Jimmy Vesey: Falls out of favor
Vesey was scratched for the seventh time in eight games when he sat out Thursday's 6-1 win over the Flyers.
The Rangers have found more success with a fourth line of Adam Edstrom, Sam Carrick and Matt Rempe, leaving Vesey to sit in the press box. The 31-year-old Vesey has four points, 24 shots on net and 14 hits over 26 appearances this season. Head coach Peter Laviolette doesn't look to have interest in messing with the lineup while the Rangers are winning, so Vesey may have to wait until an injury pops up to draw back in, though Jonny Brodzinski is also in the mix to fill a bottom-six role.

Rangers' Urho Vaakanainen: Logs assist in Thursday's win
Vaakanainen notched an assist and two blocked shots in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Flyers.
Vaakanainen has three helpers over his last five contests. He's played well during a stretch in which the Rangers are 7-0-3, which has helped the Finn stay in the lineup over Zac Jones. Vaakanainen is up to five assists, 12 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 23 appearances between the Rangers and the Ducks this season.

Rangers' Ryan Lindgren: Pockets assist Thursday
Lindgren notched an assist, three blocked shots and two PIM in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Flyers.
Lindgren has three helpers over his last five outings, and he's also gone plus-4 in that span. He's collected six assists during the Rangers' run of 10 straight games without a regulation loss, a span that accounts for half of his points this season. He has two goals, 10 helpers, 30 shots on net, 51 hits, 85 blocked shots, 26 PIM and a minus-1 rating across 43 contests overall.

Rangers' Adam Edstrom: Scores in blowout win
Edstrom scored a goal on two shots and blocked four shots in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Flyers.
Edstrom has three goals and one assist over his last seven outings. That's nearly half of his production for the season -- he has nine points over 48 appearances. The uptick in offense comes with the Rangers playing better overall, but Edstrom remains in a fourth-line role that will make consistent scoring difficult. He's added 39 shots on net, 88 hits, 31 blocked shots, 25 PIM and a minus-4 rating in 2024-25.

Rangers' Will Borgen: Tallies assist Thursday
Borgen notched an assist and had two shots on goal in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Flyers.
Borgen's helper was in the second period where he set up linemate K'Andre Miller's third goal of the season. The 28-year-old blueliner is up to five points on the season with three points since the Rangers acquired him via trade Dec. 18. Since the move, Borgen has been averaging a TOI of 18:35, which is three and a half minutes more than his ice time earlier this season with Seattle. With the Rangers winners of 10 consecutive games, the defenseman should continue to see consistent minutes, but that won't translate to more offensive production unless his role changes.

Rangers' Braden Schneider: First goal since October
Schneider scored a goal Thursday in a 6-1 win over the Flyers.
It was a bit of a fluke, but a goal is a goal. Schneider tied the game 1-1 at 9:00 of the first period when his attempted pass to Reilly Smith hit Egor Zamula's stick and went in. He snapped a 43-game goal slump. Schneider has a point in each of his last two games, but his fantasy value is limited. He has just 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) and 65 shots in 48 games, but he does offer hits (79) and blocks (84).

Rangers' Adam Fox: Three-game multi-point streak
Fox had a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
His goal was a short-handed empty-net tally at 16:53 of the third. Fox is riding a three-game, multi-point streak (one goal, five assists), and he sits sixth in scoring from the blue line with 40 points, including 37 assists, in 48 games this season. Fox has been a big part of the Rangers' recent resurgence -- they've now picked up at least a point in 10 games.

Rangers' K'Andre Miller: Three-game, four-point streak
Miller had a goal and an assist Thursday in a 6-1 win over the Flyers.
Miller, who is more of a shutdown guy, is on a surprising three-game, four-point scoring streak (one goal, three assists). He's on pace for triple digits in both hits and blocks, so adding a bit of offense certainly gives him a short-term boost. Miller has three goals and eight assists in 42 games.

Rangers' Reilly Smith: Two-point effort in win
Smith had a goal and an assist Thursday in a 6-1 victory over the Flyers.
He put in a power-play marker at 18:15 of the third for the 6-1 final. Smith has just four points (two goals, two assists) in his last nine games, and he has put 17 shots on net in that span. He has 75 shots in 47 games this season, but that puts him on a 130-shot pace, the lowest of his career since the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21. Smith's 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 47 games give some the perception that he's underperforming, but that's a 40-point pace, which would match 2023-24. Right now, Smith won't add value unless he goes on a tear.

Rangers' Filip Chytil: Snaps six-game goal drought
Chytil had a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
Chytil's third-period deflection put the Rangers up 4-1. It snapped a six-game goal drought (one assist). Rumors continue to swirl about being included in a possible trade for J.T. Miller, but nothing has come from it. Chytil's value would go up should that occur, as he'd go from being a 3C to a 2C and have a lot more opportunity. Right now, his 11 goals, nine assists and 85 shots in 39 games makes him wire-worthy in redraft formats.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Dominant over last seven games
Shesterkin made 35 saves in a 6-1 win over the Flyers on Thursday.
Owen Tippett ended Shesterkin's shutout streak at 165:28 at 1:25 of the first period when Travis Konecny's pass into the slot redirected off his skate and into the Rangers net. The netminder was perfect after that. Shesterkin is 6-0-1 with a .948 save percentage and 1.39 GAA since Jan. 9 (seven games). Another strong performance this weekend and Shesterkin could be in line for an NHL "Three Stars" of the week honor or even a Player of the Month nod.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Facing Flyers
Shesterkin will patrol the home crease versus Philadelphia on Thursday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Shesterkin has been red-hot of late as he has gone 164:03 without allowing a goal. Shesterkin is coming off back-to-back shutouts and is 16-15-2 with a 2.78 GAA and a .912 save percentage. The Flyers are scoring 3.02 goals per game, 15th in the NHL this season.

Rangers' Adam Edstrom: Hands out helper Tuesday
Edstrom produced an assist and three hits in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Senators.
Edstrom ended a three-game dry spell with the helper. The 24-year-old set up a Matt Rempe tally in the third period. Edstrom has displayed limited offense in his first full campaign, picking up eight points to go with 37 shots on net, 87 hits, 25 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 47 contests. He is likely to remain in a bottom-six role and could have extremely limited ice time if the Rangers are playing in close games frequently.

Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Sets up opening goal
Trocheck notched an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Senators.
Trocheck ended a four-game slump with the helper on Alexis Lafreniere's opening goal late in the first period. The 31-year-old Trocheck hadn't had a drought that long since going six contests without a point from Nov. 17-27. The center is up to 14 goals, 16 helpers, 124 shots on net, 137 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 47 outings overall.
