Despite his recent struggles, the team will go back to the 31-year-old for Thursday's matchup, which likely means fantasy players can expect to see Cam Talbot between the home pipes against the Bruins on Saturday.

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Tending twine Friday
Lyon will guard the cage on the road against the Maple Leafs on Friday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Lyon is currently stuck in a two-game losing streak in which he gave up 10 goals on 67 shots (.851 save percentage) and has had to watch Cam Talbot start the Wings' last two contests. A matchup with the star-studded Leafs -- though Auston Matthews (upper body) is a doubt -- isn't exactly the best way to get Lyon back on track, but Detroit's back-to-back, with the Rangers at home Saturday, didn't leave the coaching staff with any good options.

Lyon made 23 saves in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to Winnipeg.
The Jets grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first period and never trailed in the game, saddling Lyon with his second straight loss and third of the season. Despite those stumbles, Lyon still has a 2.78 GAA and .916 save percentage in six appearances.

Lyon stopped 34 of 38 shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres, with Buffalo's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
The 31-year-old netminder has started three of the last four games for Detroit, but Lyon gave up more than three goals Saturday for the first time this season. Lyon has a 2-2-0 record, 2.05 GAA and .940 save percentage through five appearances, and for now he appears to have a slight edge over Cam Talbot for playing time in the Wings' crease.
