    Analysis

    Welcome to the smallest total of the season for Louisville -- by a couple of points. Only three others were south of 50, one barely at 49.5. Odd since Toledo owns the most potent offense in the MAC, and both sides wield productive QBs -- Tucker Gleason for the Rockets, Mitch Moss for Louisville. Under coach Jeff Brohm, the two Cardinals bowl games were points explosions -- 70 and 69 points. Under a south Florida sun with weather conducive for scoring, this number could be caught by third quarter's end.

    Analysis

    Guess I can't turn down an NHL weekday matinee even though I'm getting hammered pretty good right now on ice (happens). Pittsburgh won its last game Sunday vs. Montreal but had lost eight straight prior. New goalie Stuart Skinner wasn't good in Edmonton and hasn't been good since the trade at 0-2 with a 4.25 GAA. Toronto has just incredibly disappointed and fired an assistant this week. The Leafs need some sort of momentum entering the break and certainly have the better goalie in Joseph Woll (2.23 home GAA). Toronto also gets a key blueliner back from injury for the first time since early November in Chris Tanev. The Leafs are 2-0 in the season series.

    Analysis

    For Western Kentucky backers, this spread has blessedly and mysterously dwindled. Southern Miss improved by leaps and bounds from 1-11 SU a year ago but dropped its last three outright and final four ATS. Head coach Charles Huff, the main play-caller, has left a void by moving on. WKU coach Tyson Helton has found success in bowls, with four SU wins in six tries. He can -- and likely will -- call on two experenced QBs to mix things up. The Hlltoppers lost a key RB to the transfer portal, but overall neither side was hurt by defections. CUSA (Western) is 3-0 outright against the Sun Belt (Southern Miss) in bowls this month.

    Analysis

    The Stars don't seem to lose much when giving GK Jake Oettinger a rest; backup Casey DeSmith is 9-1-3 with a 2.20 GAA and .920 saves when it's been his turn. Still, the hottest goalie in the league is Detroit's John Gibson, who has supplanted Cam Talbot as Detroit's No. 1 keeper and is enjoying a tremendous December is which he's 7-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .934 saves. The Wings have also surged to the top of the Atlantic Division with wins in seven of nine, Gibson posting a pair of shutouts over the Canucks and Blackhawks across that span. A hot goalie is needed to cool off the Dallas offense and Gibson fits the bill! Play Red Wings on Money Line

    Analysis

    Feels like a trap game for Ohio State off a close loss Saturday in a marquee non-con game vs. North Carolina and with a Big Ten game at Rutgers up next. Probably not much of a home-court advantage today as I'd think the gym is half-empty. If OSU gets to its season average of 86, we obviously need Grambling held to 67. It has been held under that a handful of times and sits 281st in offensive rating (compared to 180 defensively) while playing at a glacial pace. And the Tigers' defense has been decent so I'm not sure OSU gets to 86. The Buckeyes are 58th in defensive rating.
