Stuart Skinner G | EDM
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Doubtful during road trip
Skinner (head) is not expected to play during the Oilers' upcoming three-game road trip, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports Wednesday.
Skinner's continued absence means opponents should see a heavy dose of Calvin Pickard ahead of the postseason. In fact, if Pickard is in peak form heading into the playoffs, the 26-year-old Skinner may be hard-pressed to steal back the starting job. Over his last 10 outings, Skinner has underwhelmed with a 4-4-0 record and 3.21 GAA.

Calvin Pickard G | EDM
Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Set to start in San Jose
Pickard will serve as the starting netminder for Thursday's road game against San Jose, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.
Pickard has been inconsistent for most of March, but he's in the midst of a two-game winning streak in which he's posted a 1.97 GAA and .920 save percentage. He'll have a favorable matchup against the Sharks, who are generating just 2.58 goals per game this year, which is the third-lowest mark in the NHL.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Poised to start Wednesday
Thompson is slated to guard the cage on the road against Carolina on Wednesday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Thompson will be looking to rebound from his previous tilt in which he gave up seven goals on 22 shots (.682 save percentage) in a defeat to the Sabres. That disastrous outing notwithstanding, it's been a solid year for Thompson, as he has set new personal bests in wins (31) and GAA (2.43) -- though he continues to split the workload with Charlie Lindgren.

Scott Wedgewood G | COL
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Set to face Chicago
Wedgewood is expected to start on the road against Chicago on Wednesday, per Conor McGahey of Altitude TV.
Wedgewood stopped 25 of 27 shots (.926 save percentage) in a 3-2 shootout loss to Calgary on Monday. It's unusual for the Avalanche to offer such mild goal support, so there's a solid chance Wedgewood will find himself back in the win column if he's able to put up a similar performance versus the Blackhawks, who rank 27th in the NHL in goals per game with 2.70. Wedgewood is 11-6-2 with a 2.38 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 21 outings between Nashville and Colorado this season.

Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Set to face Washington
Andersen is expected to start at home against Washington on Wednesday.
Andersen will attempt to extend his six-game winning streak. He's saved 141 of 150 shots (.940 save percentage) over that stretch. The 35-year-old is 12-5-0 with a 2.01 GAA and a .919 save percentage across 17 outings this season. The Capitals are a challenging opponent, leading the league in goals per game with 3.64.

Thatcher Demko G | VAN
Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Expected to start Wednesday
Demko is slated to start at home against Seattle on Wednesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.
Demko has an 8-7-3 record, 2.84 GAA and .892 save percentage across 20 appearances in 2024-25. He stopped 24 of 27 shots (.889 save percentage) en route to a 3-1 loss to Winnipeg on Sunday. Seattle ranks 16th in the NHL in goals per game with 2.97.

Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Struggles continue Tuesday
Swayman stopped 28 of 32 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals.
The Capitals scored on Swayman twice in the first period, including a tally by Alex Ovechkin, who moved one goal closer to breaking Wayne Gretzky's all-time record. Swayman then let in two more goals during the third period. The Bruins have been slumping of late to the tune of nine straight defeats, and Swayman has played in six of those matchups, going 0-6-0 with an inflated 4.97 GAA and a subpar .840 save percentage over that stretch.
-
Charlie Lindgren G | WAS
Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Earns win Tuesday
Lindgren stopped 21 of 24 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Bruins.
Lindgren continues to rotate with Logan Thompson between the pipes for the Capitals, and he continues to respond whenever he's called upon. Lindgren has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.62 GAA and a .901 save percentage over his last five appearances, but the fact that he's posted a save percentage below .890 in three of those outings could be concerning for fantasy managers who are considering Lindgren as a streaming option.
-
Jordan Binnington G | STL
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Extends winning streak
Binnington stopped 20 of 21 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Red Wings.
The Blues are on a roll and Binnington has played a huge role in that regard, winning each of his last six starts and allowing two or fewer goals five times in that stretch. In fact, the 31-year-old star netminder has given up exactly one goal in each of his last four appearances, posting a 1.00 GAA and an elite .963 save percentage over that span.
-
Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Suffers loss in overtime
Talbot stopped 35 of 37 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Blues.
Talbot was only 29 seconds away from securing a shutout in a 1-0 win, but Jordan Kyrou's 32nd goal of the season sent the game to overtime, and Cam Fowler's backhand gave the Blues the win. Despite the loss, Talbot had a strong showing between the pipes. He's given up two or fewer goals in each of his last three starts, going 1-1-1 with a 1.50 GAA and a .950 save percentage in that span.
