Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: One of each in Wednesday's win
Marchessault scored a goal and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Stars.
Marchessault ended the year with two goals and five assists over five contests after missing four games due to a lower-body injury. He had a total of 21 goals, 56 points (23 on the power play), 206 shots on net, 77 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-29 rating over 78 appearances. His 10.2 shooting percentage was his lowest since 2020-21, and combined with a lower shot volume, it explains most of his struggles in his first year with the Predators.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Posts power-play assist

The winger is up to 53 points (22 on the power play), 201 shots on net, 77 hits and a minus-27 rating over 75 outings. Barring a late surge, he'll finish with his lowest point total in four years, but Marchessault has been decent considering the Predators' overall struggles in 2024-25.

Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Three apples in return from LBI
Marchessault generated three assists, two on the power play, in Tuesday's 7-6 overtime win over the Islanders.
Marchessault returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing four games due to a lower-body injury. The right-shot winger had logged just one assist over 10 contests prior to being sidelined, so the time off might have been what he needed to finish 2024-25 on a high note in what's been a disappointing first season with Nashville. The 34-year-old hasn't scored since March 4, and if he can't find the back of the net in the club's remaining four matchups, he'll fail to reach the 20-goal mark for the first time over a full campaign since his rookie year in 2015-16 with Tampa Bay.

The Predators have started selling off a bit ahead of the trade deadline, with the Gustav Nyquist deal being the biggest one so far. Still, a weaker supporting cast will put more focus on Marchessault, who has 19 goals, 46 points, 180 shots on net, 67 hits and a minus-19 rating through 61 appearances. He's still on pace to reach the 60-point mark despite Nashville's overarching struggles this year.
