  • Predators' Nick Blankenburg: Helps out on power play Sunday

Blankenburg notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Blues.

Blankenburg has four helpers over his last eight contests, three of which have come on the power play. The 26-year-old continues to fill in on the top power-play unit during the ongoing absence of Roman Josi (upper body), though Blankenburg doesn't have the same scoring talent. He's now at 12 points, 69 shots on net, 57 blocked shots, 47 hits and a plus-9 rating through 48 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Nets power-play goal Sunday

Forsberg scored a power-play goal and tallied five shots on net in Sunday's 4-1 loss to St. Louis.

Forsberg's lone tally of the game for Nashville was on a power play in the second period. The 30-year-old winger is up to 28 goals, 65 points and 252 shots on net across 70 games this season. At 65 tallies, Forsberg is tied for 32nd in the league in points and leads the Predators in that category by 16. Despite Nashville's struggles as a team, Forsberg has maintained solid fantasy value in all formats and is on pace to break the 70-point threshold for the third time in the past four seasons. With a four-game point streak and steady power-play time, Forsberg can be trusted in all formats for the fantasy playoffs.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Allows three goals Sunday

Annunen made 14 of 17 saves in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Blues. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

After a rocky first period where Annunen allowed two goals, he then tended one and a half clean frames before he surrendered St. Louis' third goal of the game to Justin Faulk. The 25-year-old Annunen has a 14-11-1 record with a 3.05 GAA and an .890 save percentage in 28 appearances this season. Annunen has struggled as of late with just one win in his last six starts. While his wins have been less frequent since joining the Predators after a trade away from Colorado, the young netminder has improved his save percentage and GAA in his 17 appearances with Nashville. However, it is best to fade Annunen in fantasy until next season while Nashville's struggles persist.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Starting in St. Louis

Annunen will serve as the starting goalie for Sunday's road game against St. Louis, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Annunen has been inconsistent in recent outings, going 1-2-1 with a 2.47 GAA and .907 save percentage. He's seen sporadic playing time over the past month but will draw the start in the second half of a back-to-back set Sunday.

  • Predators' Spencer Stastney: Lends helper Saturday

Stastney notched an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

Stastney has three helpers over his last seven contests while seeing fairly steady usage on the third pairing. He'll have to fend off Jordan Oesterle for playing time, but Andreas Englund is likely in more danger of stepping out of the lineup than Stastney. For the season, the 25-year-old Stastney is up to three helpers, 12 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating across 16 NHL appearances.

  • Predators' Michael McCarron: Records assist

McCarron provided an assist, fired two shots on goal and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

McCarron put an end to a six-game point drought with his helper on Filip Forsberg's empty-netter in the third period. The 30-year-old McCarron saw 16:23 of ice time Saturday -- he's been above 15 minutes in six of 11 games in March. He won't add much on offense, as evidenced by his 11 points through 61 appearances, but the veteran forward has added 70 shots on net, 88 PIM, 122 hits and 48 blocked shots to provide some grit in a bottom-six role.

  • Predators' Cole Smith: Delivers helper in win

Smith logged an assist and five hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

Smith snapped a nine-game point drought with the helper. In that span, he had 16 hits, 15 shots on net and 14 PIM. Smith's a tough customer, and that's been enough to keep him in a bottom-six role for much of the season despite sparse contributions on offense. He's at 11 points, 57 shots on net, 132 hits, 67 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 58 appearances.

  • Predators' Kieffer Bellows: Bulges twine Saturday

Bellows scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

Bellows netted the game-tying goal at 9:15 of the second period. The 26-year-old forward made an impact after being a healthy scratch Thursday versus the Ducks, but it's likely he'll end up in the press box again at some point. This season, he has two goals, 14 shots on net, six PIM, 21 hits and a minus-2 rating over 11 NHL appearances in his first action at hockey's highest level since the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Predators' Michael Bunting: Sparks comeback with PPG

Bunting scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

The Predators were horrid in the first period, but Bunting's goal 1:39 into the second sparked their comeback. This was his first point in five games since he returned from an appendectomy he underwent while a member of the Penguins before a deadline-week deal sent him to Nashville. For the season, the 29-year-old winger has 15 goals, 30 points, 119 shots on net, 65 hits and a minus-23 rating through 63 appearances. Bunting provides a little sandpaper and depth scoring, both of which can help fantasy managers heading into the playoffs, assuming he can build off Saturday's performance.

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: Shuts door after slow start in win

Saros made 24 saves in a 5-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.

Saros' first period was a touch rough as the Leafs went up 2-0 by the 13:05 mark, and it looked like they might control the match, but the Predators roared back in the second and third with five unanswered goals. Saros has struggled this season with a 17-27-6 record, 2.92 GAA and .897 save percentage. Still, he has four wins in his last six outings and could be heating up during the fantasy playoffs.

  • Predators' Fedor Svechkov: Just five assists in last 19 games

Svechkov had two assists in a 5-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.

Svechkov has four assists and 19 shots in his last 18 games. The rookie has a reputation as a strong two-way player, but everything has been a struggle in Nashville this season, and he's sporting a minus-12 rating. Svechkov has just five assists in his last 21 games, averaging 12:24 of playing time. Any fantasy value he may have will likely come in future seasons.

  • Predators' Luke Evangelista: Six points in last eight games

Evangelista had a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Evangelista has taken a step back in 2024-25 after putting up 16 goals, 39 points and 172 shots in 80 regular-season games last campaign. He has seven snipes, 15 helpers and 102 shots through 55 contests this year. However, this could be a bump in the road before growth occurs. Evangelista has six points and four assists in his last eight games, showing he might be turning the corner.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Three-game, five-point streak

Forsberg had two goals on 10 shots and an assist in a 5-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.

Forsberg put Nashville up 3-2 in the second period when he followed his shot and hammered in a rebound in the crease off a 3-on-1 rush. It was his 107th career go-ahead goal, which ranks first in franchise history. David Legwand sits second with 80. Forsberg is riding a three-game, five-point scoring streak (two goals, three assists) with 13 shots. Nashville has struggled this season, but Forsberg has been solid. He leads the team in goals (27), assists (37) and points (64) in 69 games.

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: In goal against Toronto

Saros will start at home versus the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Saros and Justus Annunen have alternated starts over the last five games, and that trend will likely continue in Sunday's road game versus St. Louis in the second half of Nashville's back-to-back. The 29-year-old Saros has lost his past two outings, allowing six goals on 36 shots. The Maple Leafs have scored 12 goals during the team's three-game winning streak.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Draws power-play assist

Marchessault notched a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks.

Marchessault reached the 30-assist mark for the first time since 2021-22. The 34-year-old winger has had a down year, and March has been no different with just four points and a minus-6 rating over 10 appearances. Overall, he's at 49 points, 190 shots on net, 74 hits, 33 PIM and a minus-22 rating across 68 contests.
