  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Slated to start Tuesday

Blackwood is expected to guard the cage at home versus the Oilers on Tuesday, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Although Blackwood has split the workload over the Avs' last three games, he has still featured in 10 of the club's last 14 outings. During that stretch, the 29-year-old netminder is 5-4-0 with a 2.50 GAA and one shutout. With just two more victories, Blackwood will get over the 20-win threshold for the second straight year.

  • Avalanche's Joel Kiviranta: First point since return

Kiviranta logged an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Wild.

This was Kiviranta's first point in his second game back from a concussion. The 29-year-old winger has eight points, 28 shots on net, 47 hits and a plus-1 rating over 32 appearances this season. After the Avalanche bolstered their forward group at the trade deadline, Kiviranta is likely to be limited to fourth-line minutes moving forward.

  • Avalanche's Nazem Kadri: Nabs helper in team debut

Kadri posted an assist, five shots on goal and three hits in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Wild.

Kadri, a natural center, played on the wing in this contest. Given the Avalanche already have Nathan MacKinnon and Brock Nelson centering their first and second lines, Kadri may play on the wing often enough to gain fantasy eligibility there. Kadri is at 42 points, 180 shots on net, 40 hits, 20 blocked shots and a minus-26 rating over 62 appearances this season.

  • Avalanche's Nicolas Roy: Gets first goal for new team

Roy scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Wild.

This was Roy's first goal for the Avalanche, and it comes in his second game since he was acquired from the Maple Leafs on Thursday. The 29-year-old now has six goals, 21 points, 59 shots on net, 62 hits and 32 blocked shots over 61 appearances this season. He has started his Colorado tenure as the team's third-line center, though he could also move to the wing if fellow trade acquisition Nazem Kadri gets moved to the middle.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Plays hero in shootout win

MacKinnon scored his league-leading 43rd goal of the season and also potted the shootout winner in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Wild.

The 30-year-old superstar opened the scoring midway through the second period, snapping a quick shot from the faceoff circle past Jesper Wallstedt, and MacKinnon then beat the young netminder again to his glove side in the fourth round of the shootout. The goal extended MacKinnon's point streak to seven games dating back to Feb. 4, the Avalanche's last game before the Olympic break. Over that stretch, he's racked up three goals and 13 points. His 104 points on the season are second only to Connor McDavid's 108.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Win streak at four

Wedgewood turned aside 32 of 34 shots in regulation and overtime and three of four shootout attempts during Sunday's 3-2 win over the Wild.

The 33-year-old netminder took a shutout into the third period, and Wedgewood capped another strong performance with a big blocker save on Vladimir Tarasenko in the final round of the shootout. Wedgewood has won four straight outings, including one in relief of Mackenzie Blackwood, and he's allowed just five goals on 102 shots (.951 save percentage) during his win streak.

  • Avalanche's Logan O'Connor: Progressing in recovery

Head coach Jared Bednar said Sunday that O'Connor (hip) is progressing in his recovery and could return to game action soon, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

While a clear timetable for O'Connor's return isn't yet clear, he at least seems to be in the mix to suit up for the Avalanche before the end of the regular season. The 29-year-old underwent hip surgery in June and hasn't yet made his season debut after suffering a setback in mid-November. Across 80 regular-season appearances with Colorado last year, O'Connor generated 10 goals, 11 assists, 68 hits, 50 blocked shots and 26 PIM while averaging 14:07 of ice time.

  • Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Deemed week-to-week

Landeskog (lower body) is week-to-week and won't play against Minnesota on Sunday.

Landeskog had two goals and five assists in six appearances after returning from the 2026 Winter Olympics, where he played for Team Sweden. He missed 14 straight NHL games before representing his country in the tournament because of an upper-body injury. Landeskog has nine goals, 29 points, 104 shots on net and 66 hits across 47 outings this season.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Set to face Wild

Wedgewood will patrol the home crease against Minnesota on Sunday, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.

Wedgewood has won his last three outings, including a relief appearance in Friday's 5-4 shootout victory over Dallas. He has a 23-4-5 record this season with two shutouts, a 2.20 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 34 games. Minnesota is tied for 10th in the league with 3.32 goals per game this campaign.

  • Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Nets late equalizer

Nichushkin scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

Nichushkin scored with 15 seconds left in regulation to tie the game. He ended a nine-game goal drought with the clutch tally, though he still picked up seven assists in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old winger is up to 13 goals, 37 points, 118 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-5 rating over 52 appearances. Nichushkin is likely to continue seeing top-six minutes, though the Avalanche's addition of Nazem Kadri at the trade deadline gives them the potential to run three scoring lines.

  • Avalanche's Cale Makar: Two points in Dallas

Makar produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

Both points came in the first period, as Makar opened the scoring early in the frame before having a hand in a Nathan MacKinnon tally with just two seconds left before intermission. Playing for Team Canada in the Olympics seems to have rejuvenated Makar. The star blueliner had just one goal and four points in the last 10 games before the break. However, he has busted out for four goals and nine points in six games since the NHL schedule resumed.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Three-point effort in win

MacKinnon scored a power-play goal and added two assists, one with the man advantage, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

The 30-year-old superstar continues to lead the field in the race for the Rocket Richard Trophy, as his 42 goals are five ahead of Cole Caufield. MacKinnon also leads the league with a plus-55 rating, and his 103 points are second behind Connor McDavid's 106. Over seven games in February, MacKinnon has piled up two goals and 12 points.

  • Avalanche's Martin Necas: Leads charge in comeback win

Necas scored a goal and added three assists, two on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

The 27-year-old not only had a hand in every Colorado goal during regulation, but he beat Jake Oettinger for the shootout-winner. Necas has multiple points in five of six games since the Olympic break, a blistering stretch in which he's racked up six goals and 14 points. Friday's tally was also his 28th of the season, tying his career high, and his stunning plus-43 rating ranks second in the NHL behind teammate Nathan MacKinnon's plus-55.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Nabs win in relief

Wedgewood turned aside all 10 shots he faced in regulation and overtime and both of Dallas' shootout attempts after replacing Mackenzie Blackwood early in the second period of Friday's 5-4 win over the Stars.

Colorado was trailing 4-2 when head coach Jared Bednar made the switch in the crease, and the move paid off because Wedgewood slammed the door shut on Dallas. The veteran netminder has just one regulation loss in his last seven outings, going 5-1-1 with a 2.22 GAA and .910 save percentage since Jan. 8. While he's been working as the clear backup to Blackwood over the last couple months, Friday's performances might earn Wedgewood more playing time.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Gets hook in Dallas

Blackwood gave up four goals on 11 shots before being replaced by Scott Wedgewood early in the second period of Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

The Avalanche were staring at a 4-2 deficit when Blackwood got the hook, and the move worked for head coach Jared Bednar. It was the first time Blackwood had allowed more than three goals in a start since Jan. 23. Over his last 10 outings, he has produced a 5-4-0 record, 2.50 GAA and .900 save percentage.

  • Avalanche's Chase Bradley: Two goals Friday

Bradley scored two goals in AHL Colorado's 5-2 win over Abbotsford on Friday.

This performance ended an 18-game goal drought, in which he had just two assists. Bradley has a poor 11 points through 34 appearances in his second AHL campaign. The 24-year-old's lack of offense this season suggests he'll have a tough time carving out a regular role at the NHL level.
