Oilers' Viktor Arvidsson: Resumes skating
Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Monday that Arvidsson (undisclosed) has resumed skating, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Arvidsson has been out for nearly a month due to his undisclosed injury, and Knoblauch said last week that the 31-year-old winger didn't have a timetable to return. However, Knoblauch indicated Monday that he hopes Arvidsson will be able to practice with the team this week. Arvidsson could be eased into action once he's cleared for team practices, but he seems to be trending in the right direction.

Oilers' Jeff Skinner: Puts up assist in win
Skinner logged an assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Skinner helped out on Troy Stecher's insurance tally in the third period. The 32-year-old Skinner has improved lately, collecting four points over his last four contests. The winger is up to 11 points, 71 shots on net, 18 hits and a minus-8 rating through 27 appearances this season. His upside remains limited in a third-line role, but he could move up to the top six if he continues to produce.

Nurse snapped a four-game slump when he set up Corey Perry on the opening tally. Through 24 outings overall, Nurse has contributed three goals and eight assists while seeing top-four minutes. The 29-year-old blueliner has added 63 shots on net, 46 blocked shots, 43 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-6 rating.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Two helpers in Saturday's win
Draisaitl logged two assists, including one on the power play, and three shots on goal in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Draisaitl had a hand in tallies by Corey Perry and Zach Hyman in Saturday's contest. The 29-year-old Draisait has two straight multi-point efforts to make up for the two-game slump that came before it. He has generated 19 goals, 17 helpers, nine power-play points, 75 shots on net and a plus-13 rating over 27 appearances. While his career-high 25.3 shooting percentage will likely recede, Draisaitl has enough talent to continue his push toward a fourth straight 100-point campaign.

The goal was Stecher's first as an Oiler. The 30-year-old has started to get into a groove lately, earning a goal and three assists over his last six contests, though his playing style doesn't lend itself to keeping this hot stretch going for long. Those four points account for all of his offense through 23 appearances this season, and he's added 22 shots on net, 28 blocked shots, 15 hits, 11 PIM and a minus-3 rating while filling a bottom-four role.

Hyman has three goals over two contests since returning from an undisclosed injury. The 32-year-old winger is up to six tallies, 11 points (four on the power play), 62 shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-3 rating over 22 appearances. He continues to skate on the first line and top power-play unit, and his play since his return from injury is a good sign that his season is heading in the right direction following a troublesome start.

McDavid picked up his first goal in the last four games, though he also has six assists in that span. The 27-year-old center did his damage in the second period, scoring off a turnover before setting up Zach Hyman's tally, which was the game-winner. McDavid is up to 13 goals, 37 points, 10 power-play points, 86 shots on net and a plus-7 rating through 24 outings overall.

Skinner stopped 29 of 31 shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Skinner has won four of his last six starts, allowing two or fewer goals on five occasions. The 26-year-old allowed two goals in the third period but held the lead to the finish. Skinner is now 9-7-2 with a 2.92 GAA and an .892 save percentage over 18 contests. He's taken a similar path to last season when he started slow and improved over time for the rest of the campaign. The Oilers' next game is at home Tuesday versus the Lightning.

Oilers' Jacob Perreault: Headed to Edmonton
Perreault was dealt to Edmonton from Montreal in exchange for Noel Hoefenmayer on Friday.
Perreault was selected in the first round -- 27th overall -- in 2020 by the Ducks and was sent to Montreal last season for Jan Mysak. Perreault has split the season between ECHL Trois-Rivieres and AHL Laval, scoring once and adding four assists in five games at the ECHL level, while going pointless in six outings with the Rocket. Perreault is expected to be sent to AHL Bakersfield.

Nugent-Hopkins remains in a top-six role, but his current pace would put him below the 50-point mark for the first time in a full season since 2017-18.
