Oilers' Alec Regula: Loses spot in lineup
Regula was scratched for the 11th time in 12 games in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Flames.
Regula has lost his place in the Oilers' lineup, with Spencer Stastney and Ty Emberson most often playing bottom-four roles. Regula was held off the scoresheet for his last eight appearances, which may have contributed to the extended stay in the press box. This season, he has three assists, 18 shots on net, 44 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a minus-16 rating over 29 appearances.

Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Distributes three assists
Bouchard registered three assists, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Flames.
Bouchard has stood out over the last 10 games, earning four goals, 13 helpers and a plus-8 rating. The 26-year-old defenseman picked up assists on both of Leon Draisaitl's power-play goals as well as a Kasperi Kapanen tally at even strength in this contest. Bouchard is up to 63 points (22 on the power play), 161 shots on net, 78 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 58 appearances this season.

Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Lights lamp in Wednesday's loss
Kapanen scored a goal on four shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Flames.
Kapanen has scored in back-to-back games to begin February. The 29-year-old winger remains in a second-line role, where he's had plenty of success when healthy this season. He's up to five goals, 12 points, 39 shots on net, 38 hits and a plus-8 rating through 19 appearances. Kapanen has appeal in fantasy as a depth forward, particularly in formats that reward hits.

Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Tallies twice on power play
Draisaitl scored a pair of power-play goals on five shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Flames.
Draisaitl has four goals and nine assists over his last six games. The 30-year-old has 13 power-play goals this season, six of which have come in four games against the Flames, so he may be disappointed that the Battle of Alberta is over for the year. Overall, he's at 29 tallies, 80 points (34 on the power play), 161 shots on net and a plus-12 rating over 55 appearances.

Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Another ugly outing
Jarry allowed four goals on 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Flames.
The Flames converted twice on the power play in the first period, and Jarry gave up an even-strength goal in each of the last two frames. The 30-year-old netminder has allowed at least four goals in four of his last five games. For the season, Jarry is 15-7-2 with a 3.07 GAA and an .893 save percentage over 25 appearances, but his numbers have been far worse in Edmonton than they were in Pittsburgh. He is poised to continue competing with Connor Ingram for playing time following the Olympic break.

Oilers' Josh Samanski: Paper move to AHL
Samanski was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield on Wednesday.
This is functionally a paper move, as Samanski will spend the Olympic break in Italy representing Germany. The 23-year-old will need to play in one AHL game before being recalled to the NHL roster, but that's unlikely to happen until the NHL schedule resumes. Given Germany's underdog status, Samanski should have the time to get back to the Condors and get in a game before the Oilers face the Ducks on Feb. 25.

Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Set to start Wednesday
Jarry is set to start on the road against Calgary on Wednesday, per Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.
Jarry has a 15-6-2 record, 3.03 GAA and .895 save percentage in 24 outings between Pittsburgh and Edmonton this campaign. He's struggled recently, allowing at least four goals in three of his past four appearances. A game against Calgary might help Jarry bounce back. The Flames have gone 1-4-2 while averaging just 1.71 goals per game across their past seven outings.

Oilers' Tommy Lafreniere: Pots pair in WHL blowout win
Lafreniere scored twice in WHL Kamloops' 11-1 win over Victoria on Tuesday.
Lafreniere recently endured a four-game goal drought, but he's bounced back with three goals over his last two games. The 19-year-old winger is up to 29 goals, 30 assists and a minus-7 rating through 48 games. He's playing a role as a strong scorer on a middling team. The Oilers prospect already has a career high in points and has plenty of time to add to his totals.

Oilers' Isaac Howard: Three-point effort in AHL win
Howard scored twice and added an assist in AHL Bakersfield's 3-2 overtime win over Calgary on Tuesday.
Howard has five points over four contests since his latest demotion off the NHL roster. The 21-year-old winger hasn't been an instant success for the Oilers, but he's been very good at the AHL level with 12 goals and 28 points over 20 appearances. As long as he can avoid slumping with the Condors, Howard will be well-positioned as the next man up whenever the Oilers need a winger.

Oilers' Ty Emberson: Adds assist in loss
Emberson logged an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Since the start of January, Emberson has four helpers, seven shots on net, 27 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 16 games. He looks to be firmly in a third-pairing role, though he could still be challenged by Alec Regula for playing time. Emberson has 11 points, 30 shots on net, 79 hits, 89 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 52 appearances, putting him two points shy of matching his total from 76 regular-season games a year ago.

Oilers' Jake Walman: Tallies in Tuesday's loss
Walman scored a goal on four shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Walman ended a four-game slump with the tally. The 29-year-old defenseman's goal tied the game for all of nine seconds in the middle of the second period. He's up to five goals, 15 points, 54 shots on net, 46 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 28 appearances. There's some risk in trusting Walman for fantasy, but he's done a decent job in a top-four role with limited power-play time.

Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Pots goal in loss
Kapanen scored a goal on three shots and added four hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Kapanen has two points over four games since he returned from an undisclosed injury that cost him three contests. He's now at four goals, 11 points, 35 shots on net, 38 hits and a plus-7 rating over 18 appearances. He's been pretty good when healthy, but the 29-year-old presents plenty of injury risk. Still, his spot alongside Leon Draisaitl is worth taking the risk.

Oilers' Connor Ingram: Poor showing versus Maple Leafs
Ingram allowed four goals on 26 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Ingram had another shaky outing -- he's been under a .900 save percentage in his last four appearances (three starts). In that span, he's allowed a total of 12 goals on 68 shots. The 28-year-old dropped to 6-4-1 with a 2.67 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 13 appearances this season, but he's trending in the wrong direction. Tristan Jarry will likely get the nod in Calgary on Wednesday to send the Oilers into the Olympic break, but neither Edmonton goalie has been all that reliable lately.

Oilers' Connor Ingram: Set to face Toronto
Ingram will defend home crease against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Ingram closed out January with a 4-1-1 record, 2.14 GAA and .913 save percentage over eight appearances. The Oilers placed Calvin Pickard on waivers Sunday, so Ingram will continue to work in some form of a timeshare with Tristan Jarry for the foreseeable future. Ingram should have a favorable matchup Tuesday, as Toronto is on the second half of a back-to-back after picking up a win in Calgary on Monday, while Edmonton has been off since Saturday, a game in which the Oilers were shelled 7-3 by the Wild.

Oilers' Atro Leppanen: Inks contract extension
Leppanen signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Oilers on Monday.
Leppanen has spent the entire 2025-26 campaign in the minors, and he leads AHL Bakersfield's defensemen with 20 points (three goals, 17 assists). The 27-year-old hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he'll remain under contract with the Oilers through the 2026-27 season.

Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Lands on waivers
Pickard was placed on waivers Sunday.
Pickard has a 5-6-2 record with a 3.68 GAA and an .871 save percentage in 16 appearances for the Oilers this season. Assuming he clears waivers, the 33-year-old netminder will probably head to AHL Bakersfield. With Pickard poised to lose his roster spot, Edmonton will go with Tristan Jarry and Connor Ingram as its two goaltenders.
