Kraken's Ales Stezka: Reassigned to minors
Stezka was sent to AHL Coachella Valley on Wednesday.
Stezka didn't play for Seattle during his NHL stint. He was up with the Kraken because Philipp Grubauer has been dealing with an undisclosed injury. Stezka's demotion might be a precursor to Grubauer returning for Thursday's tilt versus Chicago, but it's also possible that Stezka will simply be recalled before the game.

Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Logs assist in Tuesday's win
Gourde notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Gourde opened the season with three helpers over five games before going cold on offense. His assist Tuesday ended a 10-game slump. The 32-year-old is up to four helpers, 18 shots on net, 25 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 16 contests. He's listed on the Kraken's fourth line but earns more ice time through his work as a defensive specialist.

Kraken's Andre Burakovsky: Posts helper Tuesday
Burakovsky notched an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Burakovsky set up a Tye Kartye tally in the second period, which sparked the Kraken's comeback. The helper snapped a five-game point drought for Burakovsky, his longest slump of the season so far. The 29-year-old winger is up to seven assists, 21 shots on net, 10 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 16 contests. His struggles on offense have seen him land in a middle-six role, and while Burakovsky's still seeing power-play time, he'll need to starting putting the puck away to earn much fantasy interest.

Kraken's Jaden Schwartz: Offers assist in win
Schwartz picked up an assist and fired three shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Schwartz helped out on a Will Borgen tally in the second period. This was Schwartz's second point over five outings in November -- the winger is still looking to get into a rhythm on offense. For the season, he has three goals, six assists, 25 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-2 rating over 16 contests. While that's solid production overall, he's yet to have a point streak longer than three games in 2024-25.

Kraken's Oliver Bjorkstrand: Pockets helper in win
Bjorkstrand notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Bjorkstrand has a point in each of the last two games after he sat out as a healthy scratch last Tuesday against the Avalanche. The 29-year-old winger was able to get on the scoresheet against his former team in this game, setting up a Will Borgen tally in the second period. Bjorkstrand is up to seven points, 38 shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-3 rating through 15 appearances in a middle-six role.

Kraken's Jordan Eberle: Supplies pair of helpers
Eberle registered two assists and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Eberle ended a five-game point drought when he set up Eeli Tolvanen's power-play marker in the second period. In the third, Eberle assisted again, finding Jared McCann for a long-range empty-netter. The cold spell was somewhat expected after Eberle started the season in good form. He now has six goals, five assists, 27 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 16 outings overall.

Kraken's Will Borgen: Nets first goal of season
Borgen scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
The goal was Borgen's first point since he had an assist versus the Blues on Opening Night. The 27-year-old has been a regular on the Kraken's third pairing, but his role is more of a shutdown blueliner rather than a big scorer. Borgen has two points, 15 shots on net, 27 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 16 appearances.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Pots goal Tuesday
Kartye scored a goal and added three hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Overall, he has two goals, one assist, 15 shots on net, 51 hits and a minus-2 rating over 15 appearances. Kartye will need to show more on offense before he'll be considered an option for fantasy managers.

Kraken's Brandon Tanev: Tallies in Tuesday's win
Tanev scored a goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Tanev has emerged on offense with three goals and nine shots over his last two games. The 32-year-old winger remains in a fourth-line role, but that spot isn't devoid of scoring chances in an offense as balanced as Seattle's. He now has four goals, one assist, 30 shots on net, 35 hits, 23 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating through 16 appearances this season.

Kraken's Eeli Tolvanen: Strikes for power-play game-winner
Tolvanen scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

He now has two power-play points this season and has reclaimed a spot in the rotation for power-play time after beginning the year on the outside looking in. The winger is up to five goals, one assist, 21 shots on net, 38 hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 16 contests.

Kraken's Jared McCann: Goal, assist in win
McCann scored an empty-net goal on six shots and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
McCann has three goals and five points over his last three outings, a nice turnaround from the three-game slump that came before. The 28-year-old helped out on Eeli Tolvanen's go-ahead goal in the second period before finishing the scoring himself with the empty-netter. McCann is up to eight goals, 19 points, 39 shots on net and a plus-7 rating through 16 appearances this season.

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Shakes off rough first period
Daccord stopped 38 of 40 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Daccord let in a pair of goals in a span of 22 seconds in the first period, but he was able to overcome that lapse by not letting another puck past for the rest of the game. The Kraken supported their goalie, rallying ahead in the second period to claim a comeback win. Daccord has won his last two starts, and he's gone 3-3-0 with 15 goals allowed over his last six outings. For the season, the 28-year-old is 6-3-1 with a 2.71 GAA and a .916 save percentage over 10 appearances. He's building momentum as the No. 1 goalie, though he's unlikely to be challenged for playing time until Philipp Grubauer (undisclosed) is ready to play again.

Grubauer (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's home contest versus the Blue Jackets, according to Kate Shefte of The Seattle Times.

The netminder will face off with an offensively challenged Blue Jackets squad that has tallied just 1.80 goals per game in November -- though Seattle's offense has been even worse, generating 1.75 goals per game for the month.

Kraken's Ales Stezka: Recalled Monday
Stezka was brought up from AHL Coachella Valley on an emergency basis Monday.
Stezka will likely serve as Joey Daccord's backup for Tuesday's home matchup against Columbus if Philipp Grubauer (undisclosed) isn't ready to go. Stezka has posted a 2-5-0 record, .894 save percentage and 3.37 GAA with the Firebirds this season. The 2015 fourth-round pick by Minnesota has never made an appearance in the NHL.

Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Returns to practice Monday
Grubauer (undisclosed) returned to practice Monday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports.
Head coach Dan Bylsma said after Monday's practice session that he isn't yet sure whether Grubauer will be able to return to the lineup for Tuesday's home game against Columbus since the goaltender is still undergoing evaluation. However, it was encouraging to see Grubauer return to practice after he was forced to miss Friday's game against Vegas due to an accident he suffered while at home.
