Kraken's Joey Daccord: First off at morning skate
Daccord is slated to defend the home crease Tuesday in Detroit, per Piper Shaw of Kraken Hockey Network.
Daccord was activated off injured reserve Tuesday and will make his return to the lineup after missing five games. The 2015 seventh-round selection holds a 6-2-3 record, 2.83 GAA and .900 save percentage through 11 appearances this season. The Red Wings are 2-2-1 in their last five games and are coming off a 2-1 win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Kraken's Matt Murray: Out for approximately six weeks
Murray (lower body) is expected to be out of action for about six weeks, the team announced Tuesday. He has been placed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
Seattle activated Joey Daccord (upper body) from injured reserve ahead of Tuesday's road matchup against Detroit, which vaults him back into the No. 1 position on the depth chart. Once Murray is healthy, he could compete with Philipp Grubauer for spare starts again. The 31-year-old Murray has gone 0-2-1 while allowing eight goals on 102 shots across five appearances this season.

Daccord (upper body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Tuesday's road matchup with Detroit.
Daccord has been sidelined for the Kraken's last five contests due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the backstop featured in 11 of the club's first 13 outings and should retake his place as the No. 1 option eventually -- though the team could decide to hold him out of the starting spot versus the Red Wings to give him an extra day off.

Kraken's Jacob Melanson: Doubles goal count with hat trick
Melson scored three goals on five shots in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-2 win over Abbotsford on Sunday.
The hat trick doubled Melanson's goal total on the year. He's at six tallies, 10 points, 37 shots on net, 22 PM and a plus-4 rating through 14 appearances. The 22-year-old had just 13 points over 42 regular-season contests in 2024-25, so he's well on his way to taking a step up on offense, though he's unlikely to be elite in that area. Melanson also made his NHL debut for the Kraken last year, and his style of play could be a good fit in a bottom-six role within a couple of years.

Kraken's Ben Meyers: Dropped to AHL
Meyers was loaned to AHL Coachella Valley on Sunday.
Meyers was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 4-1 win over San Jose because Frederick Gaudreau returned to the lineup from an upper-body injury. The 27-year-old Meyers has three assists, eight shots on net and 14 hits in nine NHL appearances this season.

This was Oleksiak's first multi-point effort of the season. He has three helpers over his last three games, and that uptick in offense has come at a good time, as the Kraken's blue line is at full health. The veteran defenseman has five points, 17 shots on net, 25 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 18 appearances this season. Oleksiak remains the favorite for third-pairing minutes, but he could be pushed by Josh Mahura or Cale Fleury if his performance slips.

This was Stephenson's second multi-point effort over eight outings in November. The center has seven points this month while seeing all-situations usage for the Kraken in a top-six role at even strength. Stephenson is up to four goals, eight assists, 26 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 18 appearances. His floor is usually 50 points, though he's typically assist-heavy in his production, which hurts his fantasy value in formats that reward goals more.

Schwartz scored two goals on six shots, added two hits and went plus-3 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
Schwartz opened the scoring at 8:14 of the first period, and he added a shorthanded empty-netter in the third to seal the win. The winger is starting to pick up the pace again with three goals and an assist over his last four games. For the season, he's at seven tallies, 14 points, 38 shots on net, 23 hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 18 appearances. He's got a steady spot in the top six and plays in all situations, so Schwartz should find a variety of ways to help fantasy managers.

Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Perfect in relief Saturday
Grubauer stopped all 19 shots he faced in relief of Matt Murray (lower body) in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
Grubauer played just over two periods after Murray was hurt on the Sharks' lone goal late in the first. The 33-year-old Grubauer is now the only healthy goalie on the Kraken roster, so he may see a brief uptick in playing time until Joey Daccord (upper body) returns. Grubauer has gone 3-0-1 with a 2.21 GAA and a .903 save percentage over five appearances. Don't expect those numbers to last -- fantasy managers adding him should be looking for playing time if he gets a chance to serve as the starter. The Kraken are set for a four-game road trip over the next week, beginning Tuesday in Detroit.

Firkus scored all three goals in AHL Coachella Valley's 6-3 loss to Bakersfield on Saturday.
Firkus has six points over his last two games, and this was his fourth performance of at least three points this season. The 21-year-old winger is up to seven goals and 17 points through 13 contests to begin his second AHL campaign. Firkus' scoring touch is evident already, and that should help him push for a spot with the Kraken in the not-too-distant future.

Murray (lower body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Sharks.
Murray sustained the injury on the Sharks' first goal, a power-play tally by Alexander Wennberg. This puts the Kraken's goalie depth in danger, as Joey Daccord (upper body) is still working his way back from a stint on injured reserve. Murray's status should be updated in the coming days, but if his injury is bad enough, he may find himself on IR.
