Thunder's Kenrich Williams: Out for preseason opener
Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's preseason opener against the Spurs, Nick Gallo of the Thunder's official site reports.
Williams underwent right knee surgery in September, so it does not come as a surprise that he won't suit up Monday. The 29-year-old likely won't appear in the preseason, though he has returned to practice in a limited fashion which bodes well for his chance to return to game action soon.

Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Resting Monday
Coach Mark Daigneault said Sunday that Dort (rest) will not play in Monday's preseason opener against the Spurs, Nick Gallo of the Thunder's official site reports.
Dort will be sidelined Monday, allowing the club and Daigneault an extended look at Aaron Wiggins and Dillon Jones. Dort's next chance to play in the preseason will come Wednesday versus the Rockets.

Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Won't play Monday
Coach Mark Daigneault said Sunday that Gilgeous-Alexander (rest) will not play in Monday's preseason opener against the Spurs, Nick Gallo of the Thunder's official site reports.
Gilgeous-Alexander will sit out Monday, and it is unclear how much the superstar will play during the preseason. The All-Star's absence will allow the club an extended look at Cason Wallace and Ajay Mitchell. Gilgeous-Alexander's next opportunity to suit up in the preseason will come Wednesday against the Rockets.

Thunder's Jaylin Williams: Out for preseason
The Thunder announced Thursday that Williams is out with a right hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated after the preseason, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports.
It's unclear if Williams will miss any regular-season action, but hamstring injuries can often linger. With Kenrich Williams (knee) also out, Ousmane Dieng could receive increased playing time off the bench in Oklahoma City's frontcourt early in the campaign.

Thunder's Alex Reese: Inks deal with OKC
The Thunder signed Reese to an Exhibit 10 contract Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Reese will join the Thunder for training camp on a non-guaranteed pact and attempt to earn a roster spot this fall. The 25-year-old played for the Trail Blazers' G League affiliate -- the Rip City Remix -- last season and averaged 13.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks across 18.7 minutes in 32 regular-season appearances.

Thunder's Javonte Cooke: Signs deal with Oklahoma City
Cooke and the Thunder agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Cooke joins the Thunder for training camp, but Cooke will likely end up with the Blue in the G League. While playing for Iowa in the G League last season, Cooke posted averages of 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Thunder's Kenrich Williams: Undergoes knee procedure
Williams underwent a successful arthroscopic debridement procedure on his right knee Tuesday, Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic reports.
The timing is unfortunate for Williams with training camp right around the corner. Williams is scheduled to be re-evaluated at the end of the preseason, but the Thunder didn't provide an estimated return timetable. In 69 regular-season appearances for the Thunder in 2023-24, Williams averaged 4.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
