  • Thunder's Keyontae Johnson: Dazzles in SL finale

Johnson generated 20 points (8-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-7 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and a block across 30 minutes of Saturday's 88-79 win over Dallas in Summer League.

Johnson tied for the team lead in points and assists en route to OKC's first victory in Las Vegas. Johnson spent the 2023-24 campaign on a two-way contract and appeared in nine NBA games. However, with Ajay Mitchell, Alex Ducas (hip) and Adam Flagler occupying the Thunder's three two-way contracts, Johnson will likely spend the upcoming season with the Oklahoma City Blue unless another suitor swoops in.

  • Thunder's Adam Flagler: Done for Summer League

Flagler will sit out the rest of Summer League to give other players more opportunities, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Flagler, Ajay Mitchell and Dillon Jones were all shut down Wednesday and will set their eyes on getting ready for the regular season. A two-way player, Flagler averaged 14.1 points per game last season with the Thunder's G League affiliate and flashed his impressive scoring ability in Summer League.

  • Thunder's Ajay Mitchell: Sitting out remainder of SL

Mitchell won't play in another Summer League game in order to allow more opportunities for other players, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

The Thunder must have liked what they saw out of Mitchell, as they feel good enough about the No. 38 pick in the 2024 NBA draft to shut him down after five Summer League games. The UC Santa Barbara product was signed to a two-way deal and should split time between the NBA and the G League as a rookie.

  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Done for Summer League

Jones will sit out the rest of Summer League to give other players opportunities to play, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Jones is fully healthy, but after showing well in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, he'll focus on getting ready for the regular season. This year's 26th overall draft pick averaged 13.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in five Summer League outings.

  • Thunder's Ajay Mitchell: Paces scoring attack

Mitchell totaled 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 25 minutes during Monday's 102-73 Summer League loss to the Heat.

Mitchell was one of the lone bright spots in a blowout loss, leading the team in scoring by knocking down 57.1 percent of his tries from the field. It was nice to see the 22-year-old bounce back following a 6-for-18 shooting performance from the field Saturday against Toronto.

  • Thunder's Ousmane Dieng: Shut down for Summer League

Oklahoma City Blue assistant coach Daniel Dixon announced Friday that Dieng will not play in any more Summer League games, Brandon Rahbar of reports.

Dieng doesn't appear to have suffered any injury but will shut down for the remainder of the Summer League. The 21-year-old forward will look to compete for increased minutes for the Thunder this season, after averaging 4.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.1 minutes across 33 NBA appearances in 2023-24.

  • Thunder's Ousmane Dieng: Nears double-double

Dieng logged 17 points (7-20 FG, 3-10 3Pt), eight assists, four rebounds and four blocks across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 80-77 win over the Grizzlies in the Summer League.

While Dieng led the Thunder in points and assists, he wasn't able to do so efficiently, turning the ball over six times and taking 20 shots. He'll exit Salt Lake City averaging 16.7 points on 34.6 percent shooting along with 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists across three games.

  • Thunder's Ajay Mitchell: Posts polished final line

Mitchell finished with 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks in 28 minutes during Monday's 102-92 loss against the 76ers in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

Mitchell turned in a strong showing in his first game action since being drafted with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, finishing second on the team in scoring while also stuffing the stat sheet with a team-high three steals and two blocks. The rookie guard should continue to see a healthy helping of opportunities as Summer League play continues.

  • Thunder's Alex Ducas: Sitting with hip sprain

Ducas will be held out of Monday's Summer League game against the 76ers due to a left hip sprain, Rylan Stiles of reports.

This news didn't come to light until the midway point of Monday's matchup, and his status for Tuesday's game against the Jazz is now in question. Ducas' absence shouldn't have much of an impact on his role heading into the 2024-25 season, as he's in line to spend the majority of his time in the G League.
