  • Jets' Nino Niederreiter: Assist streak at three games

Niederreiter recorded an assist in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Niederreiter earned an assist in his third straight game. The winger helped out on Josh Morrissey's second-period tally. Niederreiter continues to offer decent depth scoring from a third-line role. He's at 22 points, 80 shots on net, 75 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-16 rating over 41 appearances. Niederreiter's on pace to return to the 40-point threshold after being limited to 34 points in 77 regular-season games in 2023-24.

  • Jets' Vladislav Namestnikov: Nabs assist in loss

Namestnikov notched an assist and three hits in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Namestnikov ended a five-game point drought with the helper. The 32-year-old has been ceding a bit more ice time to Adam Lowry lately, though Namestnikov is still nominally the second-line center. Namestnikov has found success in that role this season, racking up 20 points, 42 shots on net, 45 hits, 26 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 41 appearances. He's on pace to reach the 40-point mark for the first time since 2017-18, but Namestnikov's 21.4 shooting percentage is also likely to drop in the second half.

  • Jets' Neal Pionk: Manages assist in Saturday's loss

Pionk produced an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

This was Pionk's second helper in his last three games. The 29-year-old defenseman hasn't gotten on the scoresheet in consecutive outings since a three-game streak from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3. He's up to 28 points, 67 shots on net, 68 blocked shots, 60 hits, 26 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 41 outings in a second-pairing role. Pionk would have to go through a brutal slump to fall shy of earning the second 40-point campaign of his career.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Garners helper Saturday

Scheifele registered an assist and two hits in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Scheifele has been a little quiet with two points over his last four contests, a span in which the Jets have just 10 goals as a team. The 31-year-old remains in a top-line role and there's little reason to think this is anything more than the usual ups and downs of a long season. Overall, he has 46 points, 92 shots on net, 35 hits, 34 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 41 appearances.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Deposits goal Saturday

Morrissey scored a goal on three shots, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Morrissey ended a nine-game goal drought with his second-period tally. He wasn't slumping during that stretch, racking up eight assists and a plus-6 rating as he continues to lead the way on the Jets' blue line. For the season, the 29-year-old defenseman has four goals, 33 assists, 83 shots on net, 65 blocked shots, 27 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 41 contests.

  • Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Scores in Saturday's loss

Ehlers scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Ehlers is up to three goals and five assists over eight games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The winger got the Jets within one goal at 16:45 of the third period, but they couldn't tie the game. Overall, he continues to hum along at a point-per-game pace with 12 goals, 21 helpers, 79 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 32 appearances. Ehlers needs to be in the lineup for most fantasy formats.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Stumbles again Saturday

Hellebuyck gave up three goals on 28 shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Hellebuyck has taken consecutive losses (0-1-1) for the first time since he dropped three straight games in regulation from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3. The 31-year-old was beaten twice on Detroit power plays, so it's not fully his fault. Even Vezina candidates will have rough patches, but it's a testament to Hellebuyck's skills and the team around him how infrequent those have been over the first half of 2024-25. Hellebuyck's 24-6-2 with a 2.09 GAA and a .926 save percentage through 32 outings this season. He'll look to get back on track Tuesday at home versus the Predators, whom he shut out last Monday with a 22-save performance.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Sustains injury Saturday

Miller did not return to Saturday's game versus the Red Wings after getting hit in the throat with a puck, John Lu of TSN reports.

Miller will be evaluated further Sunday. If he can't play, Dylan Coghlan is likely to enter the lineup Tuesday versus the Predators. Miller has just one assist over his last 11 games while filling a third-pairing role.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Starting versus Red Wings

Hellebuyck is slated to patrol the home crease against Detroit on Saturday, per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site.

Hellebuyck is having another sensational year, going 24-5-2 with five shutouts, a 2.06 GAA and a .927 save percentage over 31 appearances. He gave up two goals on 21 shots in a 6-2 win over Detroit on Oct. 30. The Red Wings sit 25th in the NHL with 2.68 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Jets' Mason Appleton: Placed on injured reserve

Appleton (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, retroactive to Dec. 28.

Appleton has been dealing with a lower-body injury since late December, and his move to injured reserve isn't particularly surprising after head coach Scott Arniel labeled him day-to-day. It's not yet clear when Appleton will be able to return to game action, but David Gustafsson will likely continue to see more consistent playing time in his absence.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Dishes two helpers in overtime loss

Morrissey provided a pair of assists and blocked three shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Morrissey helped out on goals by Adam Lowry and Alex Iafallo in this contest. Prior to Thursday, Morrissey had gone two games without a point -- it's just the fifth time this year he's had a multi-game drought. He hasn't scored over his last nine outings, but he has eight helpers, including four on the power play, in that span. Overall, the 29-year-old blueliner is at three goals, 33 assists, 80 shots on net, 63 blocked shots, 27 hits, 20 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 40 appearances. He's on pace to top the 70-point mark for the second time in three years after coming up one point short in 2023-24.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Nets goal Thursday

Scheifele scored a goal and took three shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Scheifele found the twine just 33 seconds into the game, and he notched his 23rd goal of the campaign, but the Ducks would complete a comeback in the latter stages of the contest. Scheifele has been very consistent once again, and he's having another solid year while operating as one of the Jets' most important forwards. Through 40 appearances, the 31-year-old is up to 23 goals and 22 assists, good for 45 points while shooting a career-high 25.3 percent.

  • Jets' Adam Lowry: Scores, dishes out three hits

Lowry scored a goal and recorded three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Lowry found the back of the net for the first time since Dec. 17, when he scored in a 4-3 road win over the Sharks, and he also snapped a four-game pointless drought with this outing. Lowry has been very productive given his bottom-six role, as he's notched 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) across 40 contests.

  • Jets' Alex Iafallo: Scores, assists in OT loss

Iafallo recorded a goal, an assist, four shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Iafallo recorded his fourth multi-point game of the season -- and first since Nov. 25 when he scored two goals in a 4-1 road win over the Wild. The 31-year-old winger also snapped a four-game pointless drought with this performance.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Gives up four goals Thursday

Hellebuyck stopped 20 of 24 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Hellebuyck saw the end of his six-game winning streak Thursday, but at least he managed to extend his stretch of being undefeated in regulation to 11 contests. His most recent defeat in regulation came in a 4-1 loss to the Blues on Dec. 3, but since then, the 31-year-old netminder has gone 9-0-2 with a 1.88 GAA and a .928 save percentage in his last 11 appearances.

  • Jets' Dylan DeMelo: Slated to play Thursday

DeMelo (undisclosed) is expected to play Thursday versus Anaheim, per Cole Bagley of KSL Sports.

DeMelo has a goal, seven points, 64 hits and 46 blocks in 39 appearances in 2024-25. He exited Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Colorado after blocking a shot in the third period, but it seems he won't miss a full game due to the injury.
