  • Blues' Alexandre Texier: Traded, signs two-year deal

Texier was acquired by the Blues from the Blue Jackets on Friday in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick, per Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch. The trade also resulted in Texier inking a two-year, $4.2 million contract, according to PuckPedia.

Texier had 12 goals and 30 points in 78 games with Columbus in 2023-24. Before signing his new deal, he was set to become a restricted free agent Monday. The 24-year-old should enter the 2024-25 campaign as a part of the Blues' bottom six.

  • Patrick Giles RW | FLA

Panthers' Patrick Giles: Signs two-year deal

Giles inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Panthers on Friday.

Giles had 13 goals and 23 points in 66 regular-season contests with AHL Charlotte in 2023-24. The 24-year-old forward hasn't appeared in an NHL game.

  • Michael Kesselring: Signs two-year deal

Kesselring signed a two-year, $2.8 million contract with Utah HC on Friday, per Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff.

Kesselring was set to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights Monday after completing his entry-level contract. The 24-year-old defenseman had five goals, 21 points, 66 PIM, 106 hits and 59 blocks in 65 regular-season outings with the Coyotes in 2023-24. Although he averaged a modest 15:48 of ice time last season, that climbed to 18:09 over his final 26 contests, and that increased role is likely to be reflective of how he's utilized in 2024-25.

  • Cam Dineen D | EDM

Oilers' Cam Dineen: Inks two-year agreement

Dineen signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Oilers on Friday.

Dineen had five goals and 25 points in 58 regular-season contests with AHL Bakersfield in 2023-24. The 26-year-old blueliner is likely to spend the vast majority of his new contract in the minors, but he might be summoned to Edmonton at some point if the Oilers run into significant injury problems.

  • Stars' Alex Petrovic: Re-signs with Dallas

Petrovic signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Stars on Friday, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.

The veteran defenseman played only one regular-season game with the Stars this season -- the first NHL action he had seen since the 2018-19 campaign, when he played 35 games split between Edmonton and Florida. The Stars used Petrovic in seven playoff games this season and while he was unable to pick up a point, he managed 14 hits and four blocked shots.

  • Cam Atkinson RW | PHI

Cam Atkinson: Placed on unconditional waivers

Atkinson was placed on unconditional waivers for the purposes of buying out his contract Friday.

The 35-year-old winger has one year remaining on a seven-year contract. The Flyers will save $3.517 million this season and add $1.758 million in 2025-26 to their salary cap. Atkinson struggled in 2023-24, scoring only 13 goals and adding 15 assists in 70 regular-season appearances.

  • Kale Clague D | BUF

Sabres' Kale Clague: Back with Buffalo

Clague signed a one-year, two-way contract with Buffalo on Friday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.

Clague played only three games at the NHL level in 2023-24, picking up one assist. The 26-year-old spent most of the year with AHL Rochester, scoring three times while adding 20 assists in 42 contests.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Signing eight-year extension

Saros agreed to terms on an eight-year, $61.92 million contract with Nashville, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Friday.

Saros technically can't put pen to paper until the new league year opens Monday, but it seems the two sides have already worked out the details of a max-term deal for the netminder. At 29 years of age, and with one season remaining on his current contract, this deal essentially will tie Saros to the Predators for the remainder of his career -- barring a future trade. Considering the Finn has hit the 60-game threshold and 30-win mark in each of his last three seasons, fantasy players can likely expect more of the same heading into the 2024-25 campaign and beyond.

  • Mason Shaw C | MIN

Mason Shaw: Not getting qualifying offer

Shaw isn't expected to receive a qualifying offer, per Michael Russo of The Athletic on Thursday, which sets him up to become an unrestricted free agent Monday.

Shaw had a goal, three points and 34 PIM in 20 contests with Minnesota in 2023-24. He also provided four goals and seven points across nine games with AHL Iowa. Shaw is likely to attract attention as a potential fourth-line option, but he'll presumably need to fight for his spot during training camp with any squad that signs him.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Flipped to Washington

Mangiapane was traded from the Flames to the Capitals on Thursday in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick.

Mangiapane has reached the 40-point mark in each of the last three seasons, though his offense has been down since his 35-goal, 55-point effort in 2021-22. The 28-year-old winger is a solid complementary piece, capable of playing on both sides while also seeing ice time in all situations. He'll likely feature in a middle-six role for the Capitals, potentially replacing someone like Max Pacioretty, who is expected to enter free agency.
