Connaughton (illness) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Lakers.
Connaughton missed the previous two games due to an illness but is slated to be available Thursday. The Notre Dame product has played a minimal role this season, averaging just 7.7 minutes across 17 appearances, and isn't guaranteed to see the floor against the Lakers.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Handed questionable tag
Diabate is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Lakers due to right hip soreness.
Diabate popped up on the Hornets' injury report with a hip injury. The center has started in both games since Ryan Kalkbrenner returned from a prolonged absence, and Diabate is averaging 9.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 blocks across 30.6 minutes per game in January.

Hornets' Collin Sexton: Questionable for Thursday
Sexton (hamstring) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Lakers.
Sexton missed Monday's contest due to left hamstring soreness and is now questionable for Wednesday. The guard has delivered steady secondary scoring, reaching double figures in each of the past 10 games while averaging 14.4 points, 3.9 assists and 1.7 rebounds in that span. If Sexton remains sidelined, Tre Mann, Sion James and Josh Green could be in line for increased playing time.

Hornets' Tidjane Salaun: Falls out of rotation
Salaun (coach's decision) didn't appear off the bench Monday in the Hornets' 117-109 loss to the Clippers.
After being recalled from the G League's Greensboro Swarm in late November, Salaun had emerged as a regular part of the Charlotte rotation. From Dec. 1 through this past weekend, Salaun had appeared in 18 of 19 games and averaged 7.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 three-pointers and 0.9 assists in 18.6 minutes per contest, with his only absence during that stretch being the result of a sore left ankle. However, with Grant Williams now back to full health after missing the start of the season while recovering from knee surgery, the Hornets no longer appear to have room on the second unit for Salaun. If playing time continues to be hard to come by for the second-year forward over the next handful of games, Salaun could be sent back to Greensboro in order to pick up steady minutes.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Solid all-around showing
Miller recorded 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Clippers.
Miller provided a fairly balanced output Monday, and the 33 minutes were his most in the last three games. The star forward has averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks in 28.6 minutes per contest over six games this month, shooting 43.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Posts 18 points in defeat
Knueppel finished with 18 points (8-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 35 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Clippers.
Knueppel had a solid night despite failing to convert beyond the arc during the loss. The 2025 first-round pick keeps the 2025-26 Rookie of the Year race close, as his average of 19.1 points is currently tied with his college teammate Cooper Flagg. Knueppel is aided by an excellent 48.0 percent conversion rate from the floor, and he currently sinks three-pointers at a 42.5-percent clip.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Logs impressive 13/15 line
Diabate closed with 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and one steal in 35 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Clippers.
Diabate was an excellent bright spot during the loss, as the 2025 second-round pick continued to hold onto the starting role despite Ryan Kalkbrenner's return. Kalkbrenner scored only two points over 13 minutes during the loss, and while it may be the team's intent to bring Kalkbrenner back slowly, Diabate is definitely making a case for more time at the five. He logged a solid 8.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 blocks during Kalkbrenner's seven-game absence.

Hornets' LaMelo Ball: Paces team with 25 points
Ball contributed 25 points (11-24 FG, 3-11 3Pt), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Clippers.
Ball scored seven consecutive points in the third quarter to put the game within striking distance, but the Clippers were ultimately able to hold off the Hornets, who have now lost three of their last four contests. After an injury-plagued start to the season, Ball has managed to rattle off 14 consecutive appearances, averaging 20.9 points, 6.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals over the span.

Hornets' Collin Sexton: Ruled out Monday
Sexton (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Clippers.
Sexton will miss his first game since Dec. 22 due to left hamstring soreness, and his next opportunity to play will come Thursday against the Lakers. With the 27-year-old guard unavailable, Sion James, Josh Green and Tre Mann are candidates for increased minutes.

Hornets' Miles Bridges: Good to go Monday
Bridges (knee) has been cleared to play Monday against the Clippers.
As anticipated, Bridges has been given the green light to suit up Monday night despite dealing with right knee soreness. He was fairly sluggish by his standards Saturday against Utah, finishing with 15 points on 5-for-6 from the field, but he isn't expected to face any kind of limitation Monday night.

Hornets' Pat Connaughton: Won't play Monday
Connaughton (illness) is out for Monday's game against the Clippers.
Connaughton was upgraded to questionable leading up to Monday's matchup, but he's since been ruled out while dealing with an illness. His next chance to take the court will arrive Thursday against the Lakers.
