Browns' Jerome Baker: Lands deal with hometown team
Baker and the Browns have agreed to terms on a contract, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Baker is no stranger to Ohio, as he was born in Cleveland and played college football at Ohio State. The 28-year-old had a tumultuous 2024 season, as he began the year in Seattle before being traded to Tennessee in October and finished with a career-low total of 61 tackles (including 2.0 sacks) over 10 regular-season games. Baker gives the Browns some much-needed depth at linebacker with the NFL future of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah uncertain due to a neck injury that caused him to sit out Cleveland's final nine games last year.

Browns' Teven Jenkins: Moving to Cleveland
The Browns and Jenkins (calf) agreed to a contract Thursday.
A 2021 second-round pick of the Bears, Jenkins started 38 of 45 appearances across the first four seasons of his career, most of them split between both guard positions. Upon joining the Browns, he likely will compete with long-time left guard Joel Bitonio for the No. 1 spot due to the latter's decreased level of play over the last two years.

Browns' Tony Brown: Staying with Cleveland
Brown re-signed with the Browns on Thursday.
Last year with Cleveland, the cornerback suffered a foot injury in late October, landed on injured reserve and ended up missing the rest of the season. In six games, Brown played 135 snaps on special teams and none on defense, recording five tackles (two solo) and a forced fumble. Brown has played for four teams since entering the league in 2018, starting just five of the 67 games he's appeared in.

Browns' DeAndre Carter: Latches on with Cleveland
The Browns are slated to sign Carter (hamstring) to a one-year contract, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Carter turns 32 years old in April and spent last season with the Bears, appearing in 13 regular-season contests. He accrued nine catches for 72 scoreless yards on limited offensive snaps but also handled kickoff and punt returns for Chicago. He missed the final four games with a hamstring injury. Special teams is Carter's calling card and figures to be where he'll mostly operate with the Browns.
