Saints' Taysom Hill: Season-ending injury feared
Hill is feared to have suffered a season-ending knee injury during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hill was carted off in the second half of Sunday's loss to the Rams. He will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, but the team is pessimistic regarding what tests on Hill's knee will reveal. Another update on Hill's status will surface after the results of the MRI become known.

Saints' Foster Moreau: Could be in store for more work
Moreau finished with two receptions (on four targets) for six yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Moreau's stat line was nothing to write home about, but there are positive takeaways for the tight end Sunday. First off, New Orleans' recent bye week allowed the veteran backup to heal up from a shoulder injury sustained in the Saints' prior contest back in Week 11. Moreau's role may increase moving forward after versatile starter Taysom Hill (knee) was carted off late in the fourth quarter of the loss to Los Angeles. Juwan Johnson (5-36-0) could also benefit from any time Hill may be forced to miss, but both could become waiver adds in deeper formats in that scenario.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Grabs five receptions Sunday
Johnson caught five of seven targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Johnson actually finished just one yard shy of Saints leading receiver Taysom Hill (knee) in a contest that did not feature a ton of big passing plays. The backup tight end could be in store for extra work if the knee injury that Hill suffered late in Sunday's loss costs the starter time, but Foster Moreau remains in the mix as well. Either way, Johnson's ceiling is capped in games in which he doesn't hit pay dirt this season, keeping him out of the conversation in standard leagues ahead of next Sunday's tilt against the Giants.

Saints' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Stays hot with another TD
Valdes-Scantling corralled two of three targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Valdes-Scantling was the recipient of Derek Carr's only passing touchdown in a defensive battle with the Rams. MVS has been on a heater over his last three games, accruing 232 yards and four scores over that span. It is worth mentioning that the veteran receiver is averaging 2.3 receptions over his current hot streak, highlighting the all-or-nothing nature of Valdes-Scantling as a fantasy asset this season. He is worth starting against the Giants next Sunday and beyond until he cools off.

Saints' Taysom Hill: Getting tests on knee injury
Interim coach Darren Rizzi didn't have an update on Hill's (knee) status after Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams but revealed that Hill will go for additional testing on the injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Hill's knee injury looked severe, and he needed a cart to get off the field, but the exact nature of his injury will be clarified after the results of his additional testing become known. The versatile offensive player has been a key contributor as both a pass catcher and a runner in recent weeks, so it would be a big loss if Hill is unable to suit up against the Giants in Week 14.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Cracks century mark on 23 attempts
Kamara rushed for 112 yards on 23 carries while catching four of six targets for seven receiving yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Kamara churned out his third 100-plus yard rushing effort of the season on a healthy mark of 4.9 yards per carry. Conversely, the versatile back was held in check on all four of his receptions, leading to his worst performance as a receiver through 12 games. The 28-year-old's scoreless streak also reached six games, which has somewhat dampened the fantasy stud's value as the season chugs along. All that said, Kamara continues to provide strong fantasy numbers for a team that continues to drop in the standings. The same can be expected in a road tilt against the Giants next Sunday.

Saints' Derek Carr: Vanilla stats in losing effort
Carr completed 24 of 37 pass attempts for 184 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for 12 yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Carr finished with a mediocre fantasy score despite playing mistake-free football in Sunday's loss. The veteran signal-caller didn't hurt deep-league managers after turning in his fourth straight game with at least one touchdown pass and no turnovers. Carr will continue to scratch and claw at fleeting playoff hopes as the 4-8 Saints hit the road to face the Giants next Sunday.

Saints' Taysom Hill: Suffers knee injury in Week 13
Hill suffered a left knee injury during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Hill took a helmet to his knee from Rams pass rusher Jared Verse in the middle of the fourth quarter and required a cart to get off the field. The severity of the injury isn't known, but Hill will finish Week 13 with five carries for 10 yards and five catches (on seven targets) for 37 yards.

Saints' Nick Saldiveri: Does not return in Week 13
Saldiveri (knee) did not return to Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Saldiveri suffered a knee injury in the third quarter, ultimately requiring a cart to get to the locker room. His status moving forward is uncertain, and if he's forced to miss any additional action, Landon Young is a top candidate to take over at left guard.

Saints' Taysom Hill: Carted off field Sunday
Hill was carted off the field due to a leg injury during Sunday's game versus the Rams, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
In the middle of the fourth quarter, Hill took a helmet to his left knee and remained on the turf afterward. The nature of the injury isn't known, but he likely will end Week 13 action with five carries for 10 yards and five catches (on seven targets) for 37 yards.

Saints' Nick Saldiveri: Questionable to return Sunday
Saldiveri (knee) is questionable to return Sunday versus the Rams.
Saldiveri was carted off the field following a touchdown by the Saints in the third quarter, making it rather unlikely that he returns to the field in Week 13. Landon Young replaced Saldiveri at left guard against Los Angeles.

Saints' Tyrann Mathieu: Questionable to return Sunday
Mathieu (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Rams.
Mathieu checked out of the game in the third quarter after making a hard tackle on running back Kyren Williams, according to Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. The safety ultimately went into the medical tent per Johnson and has since returned to the sideline with his shoulder wrapped. In his Mathieu's absence, J.T. Gray and Jordan Howden stand to see an increase in workload at safety.

Saints' Erik McCoy: Sitting out again Sunday
McCoy (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
After failing to log any practice reps during Week 13 prep due to a groin issue, McCoy will miss his eighth game of the campaign. With Lucas Patrick (calf) also sidelined, Shane Lemieux is in line to start at center for the Saints.

Saints' Jordan Mims: Inactive Sunday
Mims (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
The running back bumps down to third on the depth chart behind Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams, with the latter returning from a groin injury for his first game since Week 8. Mims only saw 29 combined offensive snaps in the three games that Williams missed.

Saints' Spencer Rattler: Available as emergency QB
Rattler (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
The 2024 fifth-round pick will serve as the emergency QB for the third straight game. Starter Derek Carr and backup Jake Haener would have to be injured and/or unavailable for Rattler to see action.

Saints' Jamaal Williams: Back in action Sunday
Williams (groin) is listed as active Sunday against the Rams.
After following an LP/LP/FP practice regimen this week, Williams has put a groin injury behind him and is in the clear for his first game action since Week 8. Considering Alvin Kamara remains the Saints' workhorse back, Williams likely will be relegated to a complementary role, which amounted to 16 touches for 55 yards from scrimmage in his six appearances prior to his recent three-game absence.
