Senators' Claude Giroux: Secures power-play helper
Giroux notched a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 2.
Giroux set up Brady Tkachuk's first career playoff goal at 15:41 of the second period. The 37-year-old Giroux has plenty of postseason experience -- prior to this playoff run, he produced 81 points over 95 playoff contests. Giroux is in a top-six role and on the power play, but the Senators are already in a 2-0 hole in the series, so he may not get much of a chance to add to his postseason numbers if they can't turn things around soon.

Senators' Adam Gaudette: Nabs first NHL playoff goal in loss
Gaudette scored the game-tying goal to force overtime in a 3-2 loss to Toronto on Tuesday.
Gaudette deflected a point shot past Anthony Stolarz at 14:47 of the third after a rare Leafs giveaway. It was his first playoff goal and point (12 games). Gaudette has averaged just 8:08 of ice time this postseason after averaging 10:25 across 81 games this season. He's a bit player -- so, nice game, but he's not fantasy material.

Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Gets first playoff goal in loss
Tkachuk scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.
It was his first postseason goal in his second playoff game. Tkachuk cut the lead to 2-1 late in the second period on the power play when his between-the-legs pass across the goal crease deflected in off a Toronto defender. Tkachuk is a fantasy unicorn -- he's fired 10 shots and laid 11 hits in his first two postseason games.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Absorbs Game 2 loss in OT
Ullmark made 18 saves Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime loss to Toronto.
The loss wasn't on Ullmark -- the Leafs were the better team, even if they didn't always play that way, especially in the middle frame. Ullmark has allowed nine goals in two losses to the Leafs in the first round, but a lot of those have come in tough circumstances. He's better than this, but his team looks outmatched, at least to this point.

Senators' Hayden Hodgson: Still unavailable
Hodgson (lower body) won't play in Game 2 against Toronto on Tuesday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Hodgson hasn't been skating and will miss his fourth straight game. He appeared in two NHL outings during the 2024-25 regular season, earning two shots on goal and seven hits. Once healthy, Hodgson probably won't crack Ottawa's lineup.

Ullmark will guard the road goal against Toronto on Tuesday in Game 2, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Ullmark allowed six goals on 24 shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 1. He has surrendered four or more goals in six of his 11 postseason appearances, posting a 3-7 record with an .877 save percentage. Still, if Ullmark bounces back, the series could be tied at 1-1 going back to Ottawa.

Amadio set up a Ridly Greig tally in the third period. Amadio's goal drought is up to 12 games, but he has earned five assists with 15 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-7 rating in that span. He accounted for 27 points for the third season in a row while adding 85 shots on net, 108 hits, 44 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating across 72 regular-season contests.

Senators' David Perron: Posts assist in Sunday's loss
Perron managed an assist and three hits in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 1.
Perron snapped a three-game skid with the helper. He was limited to just two points over his last 10 regular-season outings, though he had 10 points in the 13 games before that. It was a challenging season overall for the veteran winger, as he was limited to 16 points in 43 regular-season appearances. Perron is in a top-six role to begin the postseason and should also be a factor on the power play.

Senators' Shane Pinto: Generates helper in Game 1
Pinto notched an assist, three shots on goal and five hits in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 1.
Pinto has racked up eight points over 10 outings since the start of April. The 24-year-old opens the postseason in a third-line role, but he led all Senators forwards with 19:23 of ice time, so he'll be more of a factor than his place in the lineup suggests. The center set a career high with 37 points in 70 regular-season contests in 2024-25.

Cozens set up a Drake Batherson tally in the first period to get the Senators on the board. The 24-year-old Cozens recorded seven points over the last seven regular-season games, and he should continue to carry some momentum while seeing second-line minutes and power-play time. He's a well-rounded option for fantasy, having posted 47 points, 188 shots on net, 205 hits, 68 PIM and a minus-17 rating over 82 regular-season appearances between Ottawa and Buffalo.

Senators' Ridly Greig: Finds twine in loss
Greig scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 1.
Greig briefly cut the deficit to 4-2 in the third period before Morgan Rielly answered 45 seconds later. The 22-year-old Greig picked up 10 points over his last 13 regular-season contests as the Senators surged into the playoffs, and he looks to have kept some momentum up. He had a total of 34 points, 119 shots on net and 138 hits across 78 regular-season appearances this year.

Batherson scored a goal on four shots, added four PIM and levied six hits in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 1.
Batherson got the Senators on the board at 16:18 of the first period, but they never got closer than a goal away from tying the contest. He's gotten on the scoresheet in eight straight games, logging six goals and four assists in that span. The 26-year-old winger had 26 goals, 42 assists, 192 shots, 149 hits and a minus-9 rating over 82 regular-season appearances, and he should be capable of maintaining a top-six role in the playoffs.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Ugly start to playoff run
Ullmark stopped 18 of 24 shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 1.
The Maple Leafs scored three of their six goals on the power play, and that was the difference. Toronto was opportunistic, while Ottawa was unable to convert despite creating plenty of chances. Ullmark is one of few players on the Senators' roster with any playoff experience, but this was just his 11th postseason appearance. He'll likely start again Tuesday in Game 2, but any continued struggles could allow Anton Forsberg to get some action.

Senators' Hayden Hodgson: Remains sidelined
Hodgson (lower body) will not be available Sunday against Toronto in Game 1, according to TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Even if Hodgson is available at some point in this series, he's unlikely to play unless Ottawa suffers an injury up front. Nick Cousins is a healthy scratch, so Hodgson might not even be the first option to draw into the lineup in the aforementioned scenario anyway.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Starting in Toronto
Ullmark will be between the road pipes Sunday versus Toronto in Game 1, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Ullmark concluded the regular season with a 25-14-3 record, 2.72 GAA and .909 save percentage over 44 appearances. The Swedish netminder has won five straight games against the Leafs dating back to his time with the Bruins. However, Ullmark has been shaky in postseason play -- over 10 career playoff outings (all with Boston), the 31-year-old owns a 3-6-0 record, .887 save percentage and 3.59 GAA.
