Seahawks' Jarran Reed: Staying in Seattle
Reed agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $25 million with the Seahawks on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Reed, currently in his second stint with the Seahawks, is coming off a two-year deal with the team and likely would have been one of the top available defensive ends if he had hit the open market this offseason. The 32-year-old tallied 45 tackles and 4.5 sacks over 17 regular-season games in 2024, and he recorded seven sacks in 2023. With few signs of slowing down, Reed should continue to serve as one of the primary starters in Seattle's defensive front.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: New quarterback in 2025
Smith-Njigba will catch passes from a new quarterback in 2025 after the Seahawks traded Geno Smith to the Raiders on Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The turbulent week in Seattle continues, as previously the Seahawks released WR Tyler Lockett before fellow WR DK Metcalf requested a trade. Last season, Smith-Njigba led all Seahawks receivers in receptions (100), receiving yards (1,130), and touchdowns (six). While potentially losing Metcalf would force defenses to key in on Smith-Njigba even further, the 2023 first-round pick was superb across two games without Metcalf last year, generating 249 yards and two touchdowns. The bigger concern for Smith-Njigba's fantasy value in 2025 is the quarterback, though he should be a target hog once again considering his role in the slot -- where he played 75 percent of snaps last year -- is secure.

Seahawks' Brady Russell: Staying with Seahawks
Seattle tendered Russell on Friday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Russell was a regular fixture on Seattle's special-teams units in 2024, leading the team in special-teams tackles (10) despite missing the last four games of the season due to a nagging foot injury. He figures to play a similar role in 2025.

Seahawks' Josh Jobe: Re-ups with Seattle
Jobe re-signed with the Seahawks on Thursday.
The cornerback injured his knee in Week 17 against the Rams and was placed on injured reserve ahead of Seattle's season finale. Jobe set new career highs in starts (six), tackles (37 total, 29 solo), pass breakups (seven) and interceptions (one) in 2024. The 2022 undrafted free agent played more on special teams than defense during his first two years in the league in 2022 and 2023, both with Philadelphia.
